Rear Shocks- What Fits

Have looked on here and didn't see the answer s thought I would ask.

Are there any other shocks from other bikes that will fit our rear shock.

You know like the VFR clutch and brake handle will fit type of thing.

Mine is gonna need to be replaced before summer comes around and I figured I would see if anything else fit before I started shopping aftermarket replacements.

The ST1100 shock is somewhat special issue. It's a big, heavy bike. The best bang for the buck will be the Progressive 465.

yeah that is what I am finding out, looking around now for aftermarket stuff to see what all is out there.

Works makes one, that's what I have on lipSTick. Rebuildable too.

That is the type I am going to be looking for, as I want something that will last a long time and repairable when it needs to be.

Mine has been rebuilt once, it's due again. Has probabably 200,000 or so miles on it.

Progressive best bang for the buck. IMHO

Works Pro Racer on all three of my ST1100s. And Works Progressive Springs in the fronts of my 2 ABSIIs. Well worth the money!
