Regulator/Rectifier

Just reading through, have you asked the guy you got it from if he remembered where the wires were plugged to or where he snipped wires off? Presuming he removed the bits himself of course. You might not want to or have already explored that but thought it worth asking?

Hi
Yeh,already done that, he said it was such a long time ago he can't remember. I now have a black lead with the plug for the alternator ,it only fits one way so that end is sorted, I now need to no where I can splice the other end to to complete the circuit.

Looking at the wiring diagram [Edit2: Direct link to the jpg of the whole diagram], it’s on the D circuit. Trace it if you can, opening up the wire loom at various places, or simply splice into the back of the fuse box at that fuse (or nearby in that wire lead from that fuse).

Edit: N.B. - then, to make sure there’s not a break in the rest of that circuit, check to make sure there is continuity from the fuse to the Lean Angle Sensor Relay!

Thank you for your help on this matter
