Went to update my gear and get something all-in-one 4 season set. Been using it for about 3 months so far. Very happy with the set. One step to getting closer to buying Hi-viz gear. First jacket and pants set that riding for 2 hours in 68 degree weather with the vents all open and I got COLD and started to shiver!
Pros:
Outer shell good enough for light rain showers for short distances seem to work fine.
Removable Goretex liner for heaver rain zips into jacket and button straps, zippers are color coded for easy assembly.
Removable ExKin liner for colder weather, so far 42 degrees with the liner was no problem even while wearing just short sleeve T-shirt.
ExKin liner is pretty thin but still just as warm as a fleece like liner (no Michelin man look)
ExKin liner also stays in place when putting on the jacket (no fighting to pull the liner down, also has a pass-though for the short zipper to connect to the pants.
Has plenty of vents to keep you cool even with a V-Stream windshield 86 degrees felt like room temperature.
Adjustments very little needs to be re-adjusted after you set them (no redoing Velcro sleeves, except for the pant cuffs)
Laminated reflective strips (very visible)
Plenty of pockets on the jacket
Short zipper and long zipper for connection to pants and jacket
Bottom edge of jacket has drawstring so you can reduce the air flow coming in on cold or rainy days
SuperFabric one elbows and knees for better sliding durability
Pretty easy to clean
Drys quickly
SAS-TEC armor standard for knees, elbows, shoulders
Upgradable SAS-TEC Back armor and later hip armor (haven't seen the hip armor yet)
Sitting around in full gear at around 72 degrees for a few hours (watching TV and playing computer games) didn't break a sweat. Also today I was so busy the minute I stepped into the office I was wearing the pants all the way till Noon running around fixing computers.
Able to securely mount the SPOT locator with the arm band by threading the elastic band though the arm adjuster (stays put)
Chest pockets are Gortex lined and has water resistant zipper
Between the legs has stretchy material for comfort, some padding in the seat area might help with monkey-butt
Inner-Thigh area has some kind of rubbery texture, so far have not slid forward on hard braking very grippe on the Honda tank pads.
Cons:
European Cut so better measure yourself correctly for enough room (had to go a size up on the pants)
No full zipper on legs so you have to take off shoes to get in and out of pants.
Pant cuffs are the only re-adjustment for each time (unless you don't mind the bell-bottom look
)
SuperFabric can scratch stuff like paint pretty easily
Cost (had to sell my condo to afford the gear... well OK it was not affordable while paying mortgage and rent at the same time)
No hi viz colors
A few times the 3D mesh in the pants felt like it was poking me in the leg (nothing painful)
