Folks, I went down on Wednesday, hard. A lady turned left @ blocked both lanes and stopped. Over the bars I went, landing on my right elbow.
The scene was about 3 blocks away from the local hospital. Helmet took a hit as well. Attached is few x-rays of the elbow, both before & after. The
wife calls the after a poorly done home repair project! Pictures of the of the 1100 will be coming in a few days. This will be the end of my riding, most likely.
15 years + is a good deal of riding, but I think my time is over.

God man, I'm truly sorry to read this. I hope you are doing ok. You May feel differently a few months from now. In the mean time take the time to heal fully. Good Luck!

Hope you heal up quickly..

Not sure what I'm looking at in the pix, but how many screws did the doc put in that little area ?

Wow! What a terrible experience. Glad you're on the mend and thankful you weren't more seriously hurt. If it were me, I'd worry about future riding after I was healed and in a better frame of mind. Please keep us posted on your progress.

Sorry to hear this, Bob. Heal first, decide later... your desire to get back on a bike may come back.

That is an ugly break, and I agree with your wife too!

Hope those bones heal quickly and your PT goes well.

Damn, you'll need a can of WD-40 to keep that from squeaking. Best of luck on your recovery.

Wow, that's some repair job!! I'm sure there's a million "what-if's" rolling around your head in this aftermath, but in the scheme of things, it could have been a LOT worse.
Here's to the day that xray is hanging on the wall of your man-cave wall and you can sit back with a cold one and brag about it!

Sorry to hear about this. I have a very similar hardware installation in my left arm. Took a while to recover, but ended up with 95+% range of motion. Did mine back in '91 and was a couple years before I threw my leg over a bike.

Listen to docs and do all therapy you can!
