Just would like to ask around and see if anyone has any suggestions on textile riding pants. They would be summer temperature and could have a liner for cool nights. I have the ST build with the waist larger than the inseam and find pants that fit around the middle are far to long in the leg leaving the armor totally in the incorrect place. Is there a custom fit manufacture or special order?

Bruce,

FG make a "short" version of most of their pants, but only up to a 40. check Newenough.com

Bruce: I bought a new pair of J/R Ballistic 5.0 at the Walt Healy Sale this past Friday.$50 Bucks.:D They are XXL had 3 Knee pockets to position the Knee armor..I've got a 30" inseam and the top pocket fits well.. the seamstress at the local dry cleaners is going to adjust the bottom of the leg/zipper for a better fit..
.the pants may be too hot for a trip to the Inlaws in Kelowna this summer..Killtimer was right to have you look at Newenough.com,I just rcvd my J/R Phoenix 4.0 mesh jacket (89.00usd) it has a removable inner linner the also have mesh pants to match if you need to be cooler..;)

It looks like Joe Rocket with 3 pockets for adjustable knee armour or Olympia Airglide. Does the Olympia Airglide have adjustable pockets.

Tourmaster Venture Air is what I have now. Quality garment, two piece removable rain and thermal liners make these work for a very broad range of temps. The pants themselves are mesh type with CE armor.

Most brands of MC pants are designed so that they can be shortened for length, don't know if the "core body" part of the pants are availabe in different lengths. Tourmaster does sell Tall sizes in addition to regular. I don't know about short sizes, at 6'3" I've never had the need for them.

I like the Joe Rocket Alter Ego Textile/Mesh Overpants. They have Zip-Out Inner-Liner and Zip-Off Ventilation Panels. They are my Favorite Ride Anywhere Pants. For Hot Weather I use FirstGear "Mesh-Tex 2.0" Mesh Pants. They are not Over Pants but Straight Ridding Pants. They are the Best 105 Degree Weather Pants I've found. I Buy most of my stuff from NewEnough.com. I hope this helps.

BMW Savannah pants. I'm 6'1" and thick through the middle. These are the most comfortable riding pants I've ever tried. Go to your local BMW dealer and try on a pair. Absolutely remarkable!

Hi Bruce,

Joe Rocket Ballistic 7.0 pants have a removeable waterproof liner and adjustable knee pockets. They come in regular, short & tall sizes and are listed up to 3XL in the short size. They are in the Motovan fashion catalog (www.motovan.com) but you can probably find them cheaper Stateside
