There is a litany of positive things to say about Dolly Parton. Savvy businesswoman from the time she told Col. Tom to pound salt. Though she was no doubt much nicer about it. And with not selling I Will Always Love You to Whitney Houston. Houston complained but they both did very well from the deal.
Parton made a metric tonne of money but wasn't shy about given back to her community. She was only a multi-millionaire (just over half a billionaire) but she donated much more than most multi-billionaires.
Had a great sense of humor in general and especially about her appearance. "It takes a lot of money to look this cheap".
She never had a bad word to say about anybody unlike a co-star or two. She wrote a great auto-biography but no tell-all stuff.
Elsewhere someone said of her "The world is a little less kind without her". True dat. I'd say she was one of the nicest people ever on the planet.
