G'Day...

13°/19°C, gray skies, a few spritzer in da morning... 🌫️
after last night's, partially heavy downpours* still soggy a 78% RH... 🌧️

(* of course ze GF instantly ran out with a flashlight to inspect my recent "terrace-roof-to-wall-sealing"... ;)
not a single drop... 😎... but should I start worrying she loosing trust in me? :unsure:)

So I'm up... :coffee:
and on the computer for the sole purpose of convincing FedEx to change the delivery address on a parts order from July(!)... :cautious:
Otherwise they attempt delivery to my former workplace... who still haven't paid me since June... :mad:
We'll have to see how that works out... currently the system still refuses to even acknowledge the given tracking number...

Sunday ze GF vanished from the house...
found her... out on the street... inside her car... on her back... arms and legs up in the air... ;)
armed with a can of high-temp spray-glue and a repurposed paint-roller she was reattaching the peeling headliner fabric...
passerby's and dog-walkers staring... irritated... :roflmao:
during the heat wave the foam-padding, sandwiched between the card-board and the gray textile disintegrated into orange powder...
according to "Dr. Google" not uncommon within German made cars...
my original plan was to remove the entire headliner from the car, haul it into the terrace and deal with the problem there...
quite a task, removing A-, B- and C-column covers, pull door seals, sun-visors, inside mirror & dome lights, etc...

so ze GF thought 'screw that!', went out by herself, unclipped the plastic cover below the hatchback hinges in the rear, reached in/forward into the cavity with the glue-spray in her hand...

anyway, up close its like the surface of the moon, but its back on... ;)

Recently MasterCard/Paylife was taken over by another entity...
Since then attempts to access my account with FireFox results in a [403 forbidden]... well, at least an error message...

Attempts to access the FedEx [track your shipment] site with FireFox however gives an innocent [shipment number not found]... huh?!...

Out of pure spite I copy & paste the link(s) into Edge... ah-ja... there it suddenly works... pfffff... :cautious:

Seems that Mircosaft :poop: is now buying all and everyone to simply circumvent GDPR...

Anyhoo... success, my spares shipment is now on its way to ze GF's place...

Thanks for the coffee, Martin. Whodathunk that it was the web browser, behind your problems redirecting the spares shipment? I know there are certain sites I use that don't respond correctly when I visit with DuckDuckGo; I have to switch to Chrome for those.

It's a pleasant-enough 72°F and cloudy in Rockville now, but will be a hot sticky 87 (or more) later with rain chances late this evening.

Today being Thursday , it'll be uke day and online bridge day (evening), with chores to do to start getting ready for the return of Mrs. Fun on Saturday. I hope I can convince the dancing girls to vacate the premises before then.

I guess I have to give yesterday's dental hygienist top marks for delicate technique. My fitness ring, which also monitors and records my sleep, was wondering whether I'd had a 20 minute nap, precisely at the time the hygienist was busy scraping and buffing away at my teeth.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.
 
Morning all, and thanks for getting us started Martin.

Sounds like a sticky situation the GF was in.

Here, it was massively windy with torrential downpours for the drive into work in the dark. It was however a muggy 14, which was a nice change from yesterday's 4. We'll see a sunny 26 later today. Perhaps I'll see if I can skip out over lunch and swap cage for bike.

As for duckduckgo, it sounds like what you do when you get someone bigger than you, throwing punches.

It's 63, going to 81 in MA today.
It's mostly cloudy, but it'll become less cloudy as the day progresses .

Today, I'll head to the gym, and maybe get out for a walk with the dog.
We'll both be packing for our trip up north for the weekend of motorcycle races.

Brenda also joined a second, morning, bowling league, so she'll be off in a bit.

Thanks Martin, and it sounds like you are winning against annoyances over yonder... at least enough to keep you motivated.
Stu's pictures continue to inspire.
Roz has decided to keep the 3mo-old drive-thru kitten she found.
I suspected she would.
A cute (aren't all kittens "cute"? pfffttt.) little tuxedo cat, with an unusually fluffy tail. The others are ok with her now, and Kaiser is, of course, fascinated with her.
She doesn't flip out when he comes around, but she will establish boundaries when necessary.
I have made it clear to my wife... NO MORE CATS!! NONE!!
They are not like motorcycles, and the N+1 formula does NOT work here.
Going to work now, where there may be other dogs - our CEO brings his pit bull mix usually, and sometimes one of our tenants brings hers - but there are no cats.
Almost Friday, and looks like rain the next 2 days.
Breakfast tomorrow with the boyz at the diner.
 
Morning Martin & All from sunny, Southern Utah!

Currently it is 69F, heading for 90F. No breeze yet, but later the winds will be out of the WNW @ 9 to 12mph. Weather is looking great for next week's WeSTOC 30! Although the weather apps change daily, so I'm hoping it stays that way!

I got the lawns mowed and trimmed. And water the pine trees. I do need to go out and take care of the weeds today.

Also, I need to finish up getting ready for WeSTOC 30. A few minor things to do.

Once Chris gets up, we'll have some breakfast. And the ice chest is keeping the Pepsis, nice and cold.

Morning all! Sunny and blue skies again. 15C now, 20C later.

Went for the mole excision yesterday. Little bugger was showing signs of melanoma so the decision was made to cut it out. Took out a patch 5cm in diameter and 1 cm deep. The resulting stitched up wound means I can't do any heavy lifting or reaching (it's on the back) for at least 3 weeks. That puts paid to doing any further painting or other assorted tasks around the house. I may or may not have had various residents of the household running around yesterday on the basis that "I'm a cancer survivor you know....". (I trust it's a given that I am taking the mickey out of myself, not minimizing the crappy experience that having serious cancer issues brings).

As for the rest of you, you should be sheepish with all these yarn puns.

Good morning/afternoon and thanks Martin for the cafe. Early Dr. appt. had me scrambling to get out the door.

76 under grey skies with rain mixed in for effect. More painting today, there's another closet door on the sawhorses waiting for me to get motivated. I'll have another cup before that happens.
