Helmets Shoei Quest Overt vs. Shark Evoline 3

I wanted the Qwest overt for a long time but could not get past all tbe reports of it being under vented. Especially for south Florida use.

I didn't really want a modular again for safety, noise, weight, etc issues. After watching several videos and reading reviews I am convinced the almost 360* metal locking mechanism is about as safe as you are going to get and my claustrophobia issues that seem to be getting worse as I get older out-weighed the worry of it coming undone in an accident.

Never had an anti-fog pin-lock shield before but I installed it so we shall see how that plays out.

I too had concerns over the safety of the modular design. In '09 my Dad had a very bad wreck on his FJR and he was wearing a Nolan Modular. The helmet was damaged and the hinges were slightly out of alignment but it still worked. It stayed closed and latched after impact. It still worked fine afterwards and did its job. I was convinced enough that we replaced it with another modular and I got one for myself.

The pinlock anti-fog does work. Lots of humidity and rain down here in South Louisiana to try it in, no issues yet.

I have the first generation of the shark evoline helmet, and have really loved it. and plan on getting the Evoline 3. are you use JM audios CB system, and headset. I have no issues with the Selma me n just really like it it doesnt seem to heavy to me. I wear a size large,it fits good , no noose issues....no visibility issues, the dinar is sturdy when locked, love the shades and the way the chinbar fits tight when up....live this helmet,
