Showing my ignorance..... again ABS or Not?

Another look to differentiate between the 2 is the fork reflector. The nonABS is higher up on the fork. The ABS is lower. And yes, the reflectors can be removed. Just another, at a glance, quick check. There aren't too many guys that have changed their 1100 enough for it to be difficult to tell if it was an ABS or not. Probably count them on my thumbs.

This is a good comparison for Gen 2 (1996 and later ABS ST1100s) but for the 95 and earlier STs the differences are more subtle. The best indicator is to look for the tone rings on the front and rear wheels and the ABS/TCS buttons on the left faring pocket. The dash is also different, with the turn indicator lights relocated from the warning lights above the instruments to either side of the instruments.

Is that blue one yours? Damn nice paint!

I was working on transportation for it and someone :) bought it before the guy called me back. As the Guyster used to say "Can't hide the money."

Might have been an omen. I would question somebody who doesn't even know if his own bike had ABS.

Nope, it's mine and she's called BlueBelle (I was the one that beat Ron to the punch!)

And the paint looks even better in person as it is full of metal flake - both the blue and the black.
