Good morning everyone

It seems everyone's getting a slow start to their day today. Good for all of us.

There's Compass Coffee Single-Origin dark roast in the pot today, from Matagalpa Nicaragua. It's the same brand and model as yesterday, but a fresh brew. Day-old coffee belongs in batteries, not coffee cups.

It's sunny and calm but just 30°F in Rockville as we begin the next iteration of our journey out of the deep freeze. The high will be 63.

Mrs. Fun wants to go look at art somewhere in Virginia today, and wants me to drive her there. I could hardly be less interested but in the name of togetherness I've agreed.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

Yes, it's a slow start today.
Thanks, Keith.
I hit the Snooze for an hour, beginning at 5, and now I gotta scramble to get to my tech team duties at church.
50- something coolness, and we only get to high 60s today. Very dry, with a burn ban for most of the state, a bit unusual this time of year.
Weed- whacking (I didn't eat any of them, @Obo - I promise!) got done yesterday, and parts ordered for the push mower.
Sorry to post- and- run, but there's another cup that needs drinking before I leave.

Thx Keith, and good art hunting..!

7˚c/45f, overcast, no rain, 25mph wind from south.

Hosting a Palm Sunday dinner today, so it’s all about cooking traditional Komle, with smoked lamb, bacon and sausages.
It contains enough energy to run North Korea for a month I believe.

@steve3b3 Hope you heal fast!

Have a mindful Sunday!

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee, Keith.
I hope you have a good time out with Mrs. Fun.

It's partly cloudy and 27 in MA this morning, rising to 49, later.

I basically hung out, yesterday, and am trying to get used to my crutches. First time, EVAH! Watched some Indycar racing at Barber Motorsports
I couldn't sleep last night, so I came downstairs to rest in the recliner. Still couldn't sleep, but Tylenol was downstairs. For some reason, the outside of my foot was in pain.

Today, I have a corner marshal flag training session. I sent the coordinator an email, saying that I'm on crutches for a while, so he can plan on where to put me on track. Or maybe we'll just call it for awhile.

Enjoy your day,
Steve

G'day, all, and thanks for the coffee, Keith! I hope your outing turns out to be surprisingly enjoyable!

We have a grey, overcast sky this morning, but the light flakes that were swirling around earlier seem to have stopped falling and we should have cloudy conditions with some sunny breaks for the rest of the day. There's also another warm-up happening; the current temp of -2°C/28°F (feels like -6°C/21°F) will climb to a high of 7°C/45°F, which will feel like 4°C/39°F. Hey, even the windchill is above freezing, for once! Tomorrow will be even warmer; c'mon, spring!

@steve3b3: Really sorry to hear about your mishap and that you're in some pain - hope that subsides quickly!
@STooRay: Enjoy your Palm Sunday celebration!

Everybody have a good one, stay safe, go safely.

Patty

Good Morning, early for me Precious needed out a 5:30 , so opened Gate so I could go back to bed and not wake up in a hour to open gate. Of course didn't fall asleep so have had Breakfast and here I am. Steve call it in and heal , you don't need to fall down and hurt yourself more.
Got to watch the Moon set this morning,so Partly Clear Skies, but phone is being negative and says Mostly Cloudy and 2 C high 7 C. Well going back to bed, hopefully get some sleep G

Thanks for the start but abstain from coffee this am; feeling a little off so tea for me
3C now and will have to get the ST out for a short trip at least around the neighborhood not too far in case my phone goes off call it 7... makes an even 24 hours left on call
and not scheduled again for four months I definitely get the short straws in the roster; not sure if I'm thought of as old and feeble; unreliable, incompetent or too expensive
but whatever it is [always pick C] works for me You realize all the more as you age that a lot of this is a young man's game
Well our little buddy is not out there this am but he was moving pretty quick when he wanted yesterday so I don't think he's crow bait yet
Wish everyone a good one20260328_170020.jpg20260328_165800.jpg

Afternoon all, and thanks for the coffee, Keith.

I slept for 12hrs last night. Well technically it was after midnight when I went to bed, so one can debate the "night" part. We attended a fundraiser / silent auction for my wife's cousin last night, who's going through her 2nd bout with breast cancer. We bid on 4 of the many items, and successfully got 2 of them at the end of the night.

Temps are 1C and cloudy, which will round out the day.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Obo.

Morning Keith & all from mixed clouds in Southern Utah!

Currently it is 70F, up from 35F and heading for 72F. The winds are already active, 8 to 12mph, coming from the SSW. Later, they will be out of the SW @ 21 to 29mph.

@Obo, praying for the best for your wife's cousin!

Woke up to the heater not working again. I have a call in to the guy I called the other day, but it is Sunday, so who knows... Also, right after I called him, it came on. it must have heard me!

The problem(s): We are leaving in the morning for SoCal and won't be back until Thursday, late evening. Thursday night, the temp is supposed to drop to 28F. Which means a cold house on Friday morning! :redface-2x:

Boiled eggs, bacon, toast & OJ to start the morning. I'll have a Pepsi or two before the day's out.

Anyone :bk13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:

G'dafternoon y'all! It's been a day of anxiety...maybe I shouldn't have had that third cup? But it was delicious, Keith, thanks!

We started at 0620 with the Prince of Purrrsia wanting to be fed, he got kicked out of the room instead. Back to bed, then at 0715, Princess #2 needed to be emptied. Kicked her outside. Fed the cat while I waited for her business to be done. Then fed #2. Went back up to collect Princess #1, who is decidedly deaf and arthritic, and got her fed/out. Couldn't decide what to feed myself, so I contemplated that and 1000 other things over my second cup. Once my wife got home from work, I worked up some biscuits & gravy. Fat and happy now.

Anxiety over trying to get the car fixed (it needs new tie rods). I can do everything else but cut/remove the clamp holding the boot onto the rack...pretty tight on the Av. Hope to get a Dremel in there just don't want to damage the boot. Yet another 30-minute job that turns into hours. The cold night didn't help either.

More anxiety over picking up a juke box to be used in an upcoming show. Not the purchase itself, it's corralling three other ppl to help move the heavy sumb...sucker. One of whom has some issues with lack of control over the situation and not having defined plans/times bc the seller won't give an address until we're close to pickup time bc he's not home before then (not unusual). Needless to say, I've already expressed to others my lack of desire to work under him in any shows bc of his unpredictability.

Anyhoo, well see if we can pull this off so the director can decide what to do with a 350-pound set piece. I would personally love a juke box, but it would need work that don't have time for, like my early 1940s RCA Victrola radio/phonograph I picked up free 6 years ago and haven't done anything to it except cleanup and a coat of wax. Never even plugged it in. At least it looks nice.

I might need something stronger than coffee after this day. Wish me luck. Steve, take it easy & hope you heal up. And take care y'all!
