I’ve ordered EBC-CSK96 clutch springs (which partzilla specified) for my ‘05 ST, but I’m finding several other sources listing CSK175 as the correct part. Upon inspection, the new springs (CSK96) are noticeably shorter than OEM. Will either work? Did I screw up?

Also, I’ve forgotten the orientation of the judder spring and seat. Can someone remind me how it fits within the basket?

Thanks in advance.

My HSM says (pg 9-4) that the clutch spring free length is 55.1mm (2.17") with a service limit of 54mm (2.13"). With a difference of only 1mm your pictured spring looks too short to me compared to the original. However, it really depends on the spring strength.

Thanks SMSW. I did check the Service manual and found that info. As you say it depends on the strength. I was hoping someone had experience with these springs and figured out whether they worked. My gut feeling is they would work...
