Spencer Seat Modification

Is Frank fairly quick answering emails? I've sent him three emails in the past two weeks with no response.
For some time now, I have heard he has not been answering very quickly. Back last winter, I contacted him and had my seat done and I found him very responsive. I don't know what is going on, perhaps some family or health problems. MIght try calling him.

Spencer was very responsive for me in the past couple of weeks. He responded to emails within the day when I started the process on 9/26. I sent the seat out on Monday and had it back on the following Monday. I haven't had a chance to put much time on it, but can already tell the position is better than stock and seems more comfortable than my Corbin.

Don’t bother. For years now he will not do seats for Canadian customers. Had my 04 done by him and it was great. When I asked to have my 09 done in 2015 he apologized saying he can’t and won’t do it for customers outside of the USA. I switched to a Sargent seat which is better than stock.

Just sent him an email and got the following auto reply:

"I will be closed Saturday October 12th through Friday October 18th . On these days there will be no deliveries, work, return shipments, and limited e-mail. These days will also not be counted in the schedule. Thank you for your understanding."
Hope this helps.

I am in Canada right now but my ST is the US and the seat will be shipped from and shipped back to AZ.

I sent my first email October 8th with no reply.

I had my original seat Spencerized, must better than stock, still use it for daily and weekend rides. Bought a Russsell from a friend for longer trips. There is also the option of using Terry Adcock in Manchester TN. He builds a Russell type seat for around $250 and receives great reviews. I personally know a few that have his seats and are very well satisfied. He's busy so get in line!

Since my seat was previously done by rick mayer, Spencer declined to work on it. Now looking at RDL, Seth Laam and if you could send me a link to Terry Adcock, I might look into him as well.

It's Terry Adcox... https://www.terryscustomseats.com/. I spoke with him last week on the off chance I could do a ride in. He laughed and said he's booked through April 2020.

He's done a lot of ST11 and ST13 seats.

That is good to now. How come no one ever talks about him and his seats. All we hear is RDL, Sargent, Corbin .......
Not sure why, but Terry seems to have gotten more popular in the past few years, whereas the others have been well known for many years.

I'd guess that most ST owners have already made their saddle choices, and that we're a small portion of his business. I'd venture a guess that he's more well known with riders modifying current production bikes.

Can someone point out the differences between the Laam, RDL and Adcox seats. These are the three that I am looking at. They all basically look the same to me from a shape perspective and I believe they are. From a price standpoint RDL is the most (600), then Laam (350) then Adcox (250). Adcox claims a bucket type design to stop the forward slide and claims to have done a lot of seats for the ST 11 and 13.

There are a lot of folks on this forum who have recommended each of these seats. So now I'm confused. Why pay 600 when I can get the same comfort for 250. But I will pay 600 if the difference in comfort is substantial. Please comment!
