ST 1100 compliment

Is that a BMW?
one of my acquaintance neighbors who rides a Goldwing swore up and down that my ST 1300 was a BMW until I went by his driveway and showed him the Honda insignia. ST's are an obviously uncommon motorcycle.

I've had that argument several times. "Naw... it's a Beemer, right?" "uh, nooooo..."

Heh, I had a guy a week or so ago pull up next to me in sitting traffic omw home and told me he used to have one (ST1100) but traded it for a Wing. I was kind and told him, "nice upgrade."

Here I (still!!!) often get the "... is that a GoldWing?! ..." :cautious:

And when inquired indoors "... so what bike do you ride? ..." I mostly respond "... a red one..." cause I grew tired trying to explain what Pan-European or ST1100 stand for...

Beemer riders are the worst... instantly yapping on and on that their ride 'only' consumes so-and-so much oil every 1000km/600miles... pfffff... thanx for the conversation... :(

Motorcycle LEOs are cool though, peeking at the odometer, commenting the around 100K-miles with a nod and "... just made the second valve adjustment, eh?..." :sneaky:
