ST1100-DIY Wind Deflectors

MikeG

Here's a wind deflector mod. that turned out pretty easy. Some care need's to be taken forming to the contour of the fairing so you don't snap a corner of like I did. The window vent I used was for a Chevy/GMC truck there may be other applications that would work also but this was the one I found available local at a auto parts store and was in the price range I was willing to spend ($30) I made the cuts with a cut off wheel and smoothed the edges on a belt sander.

Good idea. Something like that and some lever guards and I would be ready for next fall.

Very nice. Much cheaper than what I paid for the Laminar Ears when I had my 1100.

They seem to push the air out wider taking it off my hands and arms and less on your passenger. Still waiting for a taller screen that I have ordered.
