The hinge on my top is developing a split/crack/fatigue. To tell the truth, it was doing fine till I bumped in to it while open. I doubt Honda sells new hinges. Anyone know a good fix for this damage ?
Thinking melting plastic tie strips -or glue on a new strip of plastic on top.
The only fix I can think of is with some sort of metal hinge where you remove the old hinge completely.
Maybe what we call over here a 'piano hinge'.
You would have to drill holes in the lid and box for the mounting screws.
If you painted it SEM graphite, it probably would not be too noticeable.
Yea , that is the what I can come up with also , maybe a few good stainless steel (boat) hinges -one at each end. But then I watched you tube. There are some Great plastic wizards there - maybe here too !
