Got a question I have not seen on here yet. After shifting into neutral, the clutch sounds like a bunch of marbles are rolling around. The bike shifts fine through the gears and everything else is feels ok, just when it's in neutral. Any thoughts?

Most Honda’s have clutch basket rattle to some degree, but if it just started happening, you could have weak clutch springs, clutch basket wear, clutch rod bearing failing, or if someone worked on the clutch, they could have put things together incorrectly.

Thanks Igofar. No one has worked on the clutch and it has always had some noise but not to this degree. I was thinking just change the entire clutch, springs and rod. Do you happen to know if there is a kit that includes everything needed to do that or will I have to buy each piece separate?

No kit that I would trust.
A couple folks have purchased aftermarket springs and found them 1/4 to short.
Have you checked the simple stuff like did you change to synthetic oil (will rattle and be noisy)
Have you checked/adjusted your counterbalance adjusters?

And IF you plan to open it up to replace your clutch, consider replacing all the components of your water pump!

While in neutral does the noise change or go away when you pull in the clutch in?

Igofar is right though, When the transmission is in neutral there is nothing preloaded in the crankcase so all the gears and shafts are free to rattle around

Well......... no, I haven't changed to synthetic oil, didn't think about the counter balancers, and while in neutral it's very noisy but when I pull the clutch in the noise goes away. And after looking all through the manual I couldn't find the hearing aids or the batteries. There's always been some noise but it seems to have gotten louder recently. As I said, it still shifts fine and everything feels right but the noise is disconcerting.

If the noise goes away when you pull in the clutch everything is probably OK and damage to something might be done if you go in and try to re-build everything to factory brand new standards. If it isn’t broke then leave it alone. I had an ST1300 for a long time, to almost 200,000 miles, and the clutch assembly may have rumbled a little more the last hundred thousand than it did the first 80,000 but as long as the rumble in neutral noise went away when I pulled in the clutch I wasn’t going to open it up.
