Wanted ST1300 - Rear luggage rack cover

I need a cover where the backrest used to mount. Put on a one piece Corbin seat and cant mount the back rest as the mounting plate hits the seat before the mounting holes line up.
I really would like to find a back rest that would fit but??

If you’re handy, maybe fab up a piece of aluminum to fit there and drill holes in it for the backrest.

That's a good idea. Worked 45 years in a machine shop and still know people. You got me thinking now.

Right now I'm thinking composite lumber. Some even comes in black. The brainstorming is just beginning.
Or I may just slot the piece I took off.
I'm open to ideas.

I really like that idea. Easy to come by. Easy to shape with a band saw and belt sander
