Howdy gang,
This year, my northerly migration to Montana was early as my garage collapsed due to the snow load. And my 2009 ST1300A was in the garage at the time. Surprisingly, the damage was just to plastic. Which has me shopping for used plastics. While perusing some of the moto salvage sites, it looks to my eye like the 2009 color and the 2005 color are the same shade of red. Is that the case?

That's my son on top of the snow. It took the two of us 3 days to dig and cut the ST1300 free.

If you look under the seat there is a paint code that shows the supplier what the mixture is. Unfortunately many of the paint colors are being dropped for water base. Wanted the paint for my 2004 and found it unavailable through my normal auto body supplier. I had a paint can with the mixture on it. But the tints weren't made anymore, we mixed it as close as we could. ColorRite seems to about it unless your doing the whole bike.

The Candy Graceful Red is a slightly darker red than the later Candy Glory Red. The Glory red in shadow is like the Graceful Red.
If they aren't next to each other, you might get away with it. But they aren't the same. Ive had one of each, and I sometimes can't tell which one I am looking at in a photo.

In the picture above, the 2nd, 3rd and 4th bikes from the left - the middle of those 3 is a 2004/5 model - Graceful Red. The other two, either side of it are the Lighter Glory Red.

The light changes things - look at the tank colour on the middle 2004 model - it looks the same as the fairing of the lighter models. But compare the same angle of light on all three fairings - the middle one is definitely darker. (The two outer lighter bikes have tank covers on so you cant compare those.)

And here's a stock photo of an ST1300 to which I added arrows showing the damaged areas

Should anyone have any of those Candy Glory Red pieces for sale, I'm all ears (or eyes in this case)

The repairs continue. I got a $35 plastic welder/wavy staple heater repair kit and made an ugly but sturdy repair of the saddlebag. Many more were placed in the dark grey plastic in the back as well. After snipping off the exposed metal pieces, I used a dremel like cut off tool to remove any sharp edges and make sure those metal bits were absolutely flush. I have a plastic repair kit which I will use on the inside to give the repairs more strength and hopefully make them waterproof. I got some salvaged parts for #1 in candy graceful red (close enough for me to the candy glory red) and #2 grab handle. #3 the gas tank is dented but doesn't leak and the gas cap opens and closes just fine. I'm going to have to disassemble the front plastics to look for some plastic pieces that are hopefully captured there and to fish out the turn signal wires which were ripped out of their connectors. Also, the left mirror mount broke which I might be able to repair but maybe not. So I'll probably need to order a few new parts. It's been awhile since I ordered Honda parts online - what are some online parts sites with good service? Thanks in advance for help provided.
