Looks like my half way point to zion is las vegas. Does anyone have any experience w a cheap motel there? I am aware of the $42 motel fee. Im hoping for cheap, safe and clean. I dont need frills.
Any suggestions would b appreciated.

I think stay away from the strip and where the locals stay. Here is a web page I found that might be helpful. I like to stay at the Strat or Palace Station as they are north of the strip or off the strip and prices are a bit better. Still resort fees, but no parking fees, which now seems to be the new revenue stream for Vegas Hotels.

Thanks but i kind of average 300 or less per day. I stop a lot and look around. St george is firther than i like. Many thank yous tho!

Maybe a free stay would entice you to ride a bit further? I have a spare bedroom that you are welcome to use. Like you said "CHEAP, safe and clean." ;)

What day(s) are you thinking about?

Bump for booking.com

My daughter and I drove cross country in May 2019 and never knew where we were going to stay any earlier than about 4PM each day. Chose a destination, plugged that into booking.com on my phone and we had reservations in moments. Even in the middle of Nowhere, WY (there's a lot of 'nowhere' in Wyoming, btw)

Dont screw w soft shoulders. Might be nice w your girl, but not here! I saw the results of two accidents and one was so horrific i had to pull over and regain my composure. U can wait a long time here for an ambulance
Mojave was nice. Not as hot as expected and virtually all to me! Really nice!
The wind came up and blows really hard coming down the northsides if the mountaind. Really hard! Found myself in fourth and third gear a ton.
I would not believe it until i saw it w my own eyes, but im sitting in a dennies with a casino!
60 to vegas! Will decide the next move there. 0E874770-0767-43BA-B21B-6F7B2766F0E3.jpeg

Planet Hollywood shows $41 for tonight. Cheap enough?

LINQ hotel $21 for tonight. Even better. Used to have lots of hookers around the elevators around midnight. Not sure what their fees are.

Vegas has that resort fee tax so hotel are not as low priced anymore ... have to pay for the new football stadium and hockey arena. Oh, parking on the strip used to be free,,used to.

I have not had to stay in a hotel there in years. I would look down around Henderson. Plenty of places but not all the crazy people and traffic that are on/near the strip. Another area is on the west side of I 15. There are some nice places but they are away from the strip. Unless the strip experience is what you are looking for!

Heading down there tomorrow morning for a day trip. Going to have lunch with an old friend that is there for a convention. Then get the heck out of there!

Go to a casino, lose a bunch of money and they might comp a room and dinner for you ;)
