Almost more like locked in traffic; first the situation.
Couple weeks ago, took the ST to work for a late day get together. Kind of long industrial strip of road with access back onto a main route, both ordinarily busy during that time and both affected by pipline installation, road repair so on. Exceptionally heavy traffic, once arrived I was told that one end was closed due to a motorcyle fatality investigation. I didn't see anything more just hope it wasn't the case.
Getting back into traffic I was stuck, no way out or around [safely]. After periodic one and two car advances over twenty-five minutes, a driver on the other side invites me to U-turn in front of him; says they're just turning them around at the end anyway. So I go ahead and take the offer, only to learn afterward that it probably opened up ten or fifteen minutes later.
About an hour and ten minutes of idling with a displayed temperature of 28C, three bars on scale and fans running I think most of the time but may have been cycling.
Since I was only a mile or so from home, running so well, cooling system doing it's job think of it as putting it to the test.
I've had it out a bit since and just did my usual surface feel tests, had a look at a small area with a bit of heat evidence that occured prior to my getting it, everything seems good.
I imagine this is probably nothing compared to what others have been in but it's certainly and by far the longest heat soak for lack of a better phrase that I've let a bike have.
