Good morning everyone. Hope you're well rested, although some of you seem groggy-eyed and something akin to part Frankenstein, part zombie. I've got the fix for that: French Roast & Pepsi. No, they're separate (although both Coke & Pepsi made sodas infused wit coffee roughly 2018-2022ish.) No cocktails in the club this morning, although if you had an over indulgence last night that could explain the looks.

It's currently 12C here and mostly cloudy. We'll get some sun this morning, then thundershowers this afternoon and maybe 21C.

Yesterday afternoon, Mrs. O said she wanted some 2-wheel time, so we got out for 4 hours and stopped at a pizza place along the way for supper. We got to drive on some roads we'd never been on before. Happily they were decent both in the view and the road surfaces. Our only rough section was part of the back roads we normally ride on that they are repaving and stripped down to the gravel (vs the normal stripping of just the top layer and leaving the road grooved.)

On our way back I managed snap a photo of this tricked out little Ruckus on the ferry ride. It had oversized, stretched white walls (the date code says the front tire is 12 years old!!) Custom exhaust. It was a very interesting and well done modification. There's a lot of Ruckuses around here (of the Honda kind.)

Hope everyone has a super Sunday.

Yawwwwwwnnnnn.

Thanks for the coffee Obo, and good morning everyone.

It's 70°F and clear in Charlotte NC, and humid too. I'll head back home today, where it'll be about 79 with good chances of rain.

Have had a great visit with my friend, who looks happier than he's been in a very long time. He loves his current job, and it's the perfect thing for him to be doing. He's all but divorced from a more than toxic woman, which also improves his mood and outlook. I'm glad to see him like this.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

I don’t trust anyone who says “I forgot to drink coffee.”
Forgot?!!
Like accidentally skipped oxygen intake?!... :coffee:

G'Day...

23°/38°C, glaring blue skies, the wind picked up though... ☀️

first Nespresso enabling me to look straight... :coffee:

then fixing the desktop fan used on the terrace (circling air and keeping bugs away) that croaked last evening...
(old, bearings ran dry/seized, swing linkage creaked... all cleaned, lubed, whirring silently again... 😎)

changed into swim trunks, made another mug ☕ went under the garden shower 🚿
and consumed the second hot brew while resting dripping wet in the deckchair <slurp!> ahhhh!...⛱️

brunch consisting of diced cantaloupe, prosciutto crudo (cut really thin, so the taste has nowhere to hide)
and fresh baked bread... a typical summer dish... ohmnomnom... 😋
(glucose, fat and salt are basic food groups, aren't they? 🤔)

another shower... 🚿 another rest...
now hiding indoors... editing motorcycle routes... yapping on motorcycle forums... :radleak:

and the depressing fact that tomorrow is Monday again... doh! 😱

lets not let this unavoidable fact spoil a nice Sunday... 😎

It's a sip and run Sunday, as I'm in the production team this morning at church.
And Snoozed the alarm 3 times. At 10 minutes each, that's easy math... even on my first cup of coffee.
So as I have one half hour less than I'd planned for piddling (autocorrect still doesn't like that word, and prefers "pudding", which doesn't work for my intent).
The FR is delightful, the weather is far from frightful, and I'll stop this sentence because I don't have time to find and use the third rhyming word. I'm just not very insightful.
Probably need to use the weed-muncher this afternoon.
May make a library run.
Right now, I just need to run. Thanks for the coffee, Obo.
Live for today, like Martin suggested. Monday may call for sheer survival.

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee start, Obo.

It's foggy and 64 going to 81 as it becomes partly cloudy. We're told to expect a random T-storm or so at some point.

Yesterday's track day went well. There weren't a lot of spins or crashes, maybe since this group is affiliated with SCCA. I'm not a fan of SCCA, but they do put some effort into training.
Other track days are come-as-you-are, and it only takes money and a car.

Brenda and I went out for Mexican, afterward, and shared a Super Nacho plate.
Back at home, we went back to watching more World Cup games. It gave us a reason to shout at the TV.
Kick it. Kick It! KICK IT!!! Oh, Offsides...

Today, I've got no plans.
I was looking for my latex caulk, last night and couldn't find it downstairs or the usual places upstairs. It might be worth a visit to Home Depot at some point.
I've also got to visit the "garden" along the walkway to try to identify plants from weeds.

Enjoy the day,
Steve

Good Morning, happy Sunday. Yesterday was Air Park's annual fly in day, so me was busy all day. Was a successful day, we got about 20 airplanes coming to the airport. British car club had a good turnout as well. Today's Agenda Ride to Church,58 F high 68 F mostly Sunny and calm. Not much else, but have a great day G

G'mornin' from Flow-Rida! It was a rainy wake-up, resulting in a hot & humid morning. No coffee out on the patio for me. Thanks for the cuppa Joe, Obo!

We fly home today. Our visit was everything I expected, but I got things done nonetheless. And she was thrilled our daughter came with us, too. So, we have photographic proof that the MIL did have some fun in the midst of her life of misery.

Welp, time to finish packing and get outta dodge. Take care y'all!

Morning Obo & All from sunny, Southern Utah!

Currently @ 9:45AM, it is 62F, heading for 78F. No breeze yet, but later the winds will be out of the WSW @ 18 to 23mph. Since it's a little cooler, maybe those poor guys on the fire lines will have better luck getting some of these fires out! :pray1:

We still have fires all over the place. And some of the larger ones, keep getting larger! Some of the fires are really close to some of the routes I set up for WeSTOC 30.

Chris's sisters were here and they just left with Chris for a couple of days, to go visit their Dad in LA. I wasn't invited, which is just fine with me. I know how @jdmccright is with his MIL, well, that's how I am with my FIL! In fact, The sister that lives in Idaho, brought down a bunch of their Father's "crap" (lacking other words). and low and behold, what do we find in it, our 8MM movie camera, that disappeared probably 15 years ago. I have been looking for it ever since, and never could find it. And now we know WHY! :censored::censored::censored::censored::censored::censored::censored::censored:

Breakfast has been had, and I'm now drinking a Pepsi, thank you, Obo!

Anyone :dr13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:

Good afternoon all!
Thanks for today’s start Obo!

I spent most of this morning chatting about the new place, (it used to be a bakery back in the day.) Almost everyone remembers it, so there should be no excuses when I ask for moving help!
:well1:
I may opt for professional help digging the perimeter ditches so that I’m not caught with my britches down!
My plan is to own this long enough to beautify it & also have the property prices return to where they fell from locally!
Hopefully 4 - 5 years!
Currently 75F with a high of 79 (with sunshine)
Enjoy your day!

Maybe you'll get lucky when renovating and find some dough in the old bakery walls.
