I recently was looking to upgrade the front ends of my ST1100s and looked at several options. I sent an email to Kent at GMD Computrack Atlanta, and he was the only one who took the time to call me on the phone. After discussing various options, I went with the RaceTech Springs and Gold Valve options. I scheduled a time to come to his shop so he could do the rebuilds. I was there as promised just as he opened. I dropped the three sets of forks off (he had already ordered the parts and had them on hand) and headed to Jim's Smoking Que in Blairsville for lunch. He and his help worked hard and had two of the three sets finished when I got back. The third set had bad lowers - he took the time to show me the problem with a micrometer and a visual inspection. He said it made no sense to put new parts into worn out lowers and I agreed. They even tried to find used lowers for me while I was at the shop without much luck (which not surprising for an ABSII model). I have since sent him a another set of lowers and he is rebuilding the third set. As soon as I can, I will send him the fourth set of ST1100s forks to rebuild for my new ST1100. They have been great through out the whole process and refreshingly honest to deal with. On the fork sets that I have installed, they are vast improvement on what I was running - Works Progressive Springs. The front ends are now firm - which I like - and planted, but not harsh - just like Kent said they would be. Their shop also does general maintenance on all makes and do all kinds of suspension and chassis work and upgrades. He works frequently with racers at various tracks and is a great rider himself. I highly recommend them if you are need of suspension work on your bike. Their contact information is -

Did you do any price comparisons with Traxxion Dynamics? If so, was it price points or just a better value?

Kent did the front end of my R100RS in his shop at Fairmount, GA. Installed the RaceTech Gold valves and RT springs as well as checking the frame with his fancy measuring rig. I'm quite satisfied. I had RaceTech internals installed in my NC700x by RaceTech themselves in California. Both did well. I'm aware that I coulda shoulda done it myself, but I got a bit lazy (both times) and other than simply changing fork seals and fluids, I don't consider suspensions to be an area of my own expertise.

So what did they install for you UP? I did something like this on my own ST11 and installed a second right leg cartridge in place of the damper rod that normally lives in the left TRAC leg, and put RaceTech equivalent parts into the cartridges along with 0.9kg/mm springs. I was very happy with that.

Smoke and Magic? Race Tech Springs and Gold Valves and new seals and new bushings and now she don't dive …

Like Gino/nt650hawk mentioned above - I have used Pete in Boston on my Ducati (front and rear) and was very happy with how it worked thereafter. I talked to Pete a short time ago about helping me with a spring issue on my ST1100 Works Performance Racer shock, but then Worx reopened and they were able to sort out the spring quickly. I wouldn't hesitate to reach out Pete if needed.

UP, curious as to the cost for a pair off an ABSII?

Paul - That's one of those 'it depends'. I had him replace most of the 'replaceable' parts while he was in there (lots of little expensive stuff in the anti-dive unit). Pricing depends a lot on what you decide to do and I'd hate to throw out a price that someone (not you) would use to hit him over the head with later! ;) I had Works Progressive Springs but decided to go with the whole Racetek system. If you contact him, he will very graciously talk you through the options and what's available, etc.
