Bumbleberry + Crumble = Yum!
Hi, Curt:It depends on where you're going to put the relay a little bit. I actually ordered some connectors from http://www.easternbeaver.com and made a pigtail for one of the headlamps and when I crimped the connector pin for the highbeam I crimped in an extra wire. Then I used the wire to trigger my relay.
So the switch for the PIAA's is activated when I go to my brights then I have the option to have the PIAA's on or off.
I've posted some pics of it. It works great. I used a posi-lock to attach it to the trigger wire for the relay.
In case this helps:

Thanks for commenting. I read your article very carefully before I bought the 910s and Seng mounts. Very well thought through.
My PIAA relay is under the rider's seat, along with a bunch of other stuff. I temporarily have the white, PIAA relay wire, connected to a switched wire close by the high beam relay. What I am about to do is pull the left-side plastic that the grab handle slides through, then tap with a ScotchLock into the blue wire that goes from the headlights to the high beam relay. The blue wire is the 'hot' wire. I may try the blue/black wire to see if that is the high beam relay's trigger wire. I'd prefer to tap into the trigger's power.
The high beam relay and wires are so close to where I have the PIAA relay it seems like a natural fit. Wiring that way will accomplish what you described: low beams on, 910s are off. High beams on, choice of 910s off or on.
I took a ride tonight as I just got the plastic back on this afternoon. The 910s are very nice. Not the "flame throwers" that I'd expected, but very nice. Hmmm: 85 watts each; 110 watts each. Hmmm. Just foolin?. I?d go with fog lights next.
Cheers,
Marshal
