Meanwhile ze GF had to get the robo mower out of trouble...



We'd stuffed the steel wool into cavities under the garden shed to keep vermin out...
our "house crows" (by nature curious and unruly like a tree full of monkeys ) must have dragged it out onto the lawn...

however short day... at 1230hrs I'm outta here!

leaving northbound tomorrow... giddy up...



successfully updated 3 the GPS units: 2x Garmin Quest-I (yep, I have a backup) + ze GF's Zumo 220...
and put the routes for the first 4 days on them... checked, working...
The Toshiba netbook received identical OSM map-set and the latest route edits, ready to refuel the satnavs during the trip...

ze GF already has today off to tinker with luggage and get her stuff together, me packing & loading in the afternoon...

Sounds like I'd better get moving.

Good morning and thanks for the coffee, Martin.

It's sunny and 65 in MA this morning, becoming partly cloudy as it rises to 80.

I had my last PT session for awhile, since my therapist is going on paternity leave. I'll continue with my exercises to gain leg strength , and we'll meet again when he returns.

I managed a gym visit, afterwards, and will try for another, today.

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the start, Martin. I'd never have thought of using steel wool as a rodent repellent.

It's 75°F (feels like 84) and mostly cloudy in Rockville, but the clouds are high and fairly light. Yesterday's alarmist forecast of a probable deluge this afternoon has been moderated, with the doom and gloom shifted a couple days to the right. The high will be 83 or 84, feeling like 90. The weather guy on the radio mentioned that yesterday's high of 90 was the 40th of the year to reach at least 90, which is 10 more days than average at this point of the year.

I've got a round of goof scheduled for later today, with the "other" neighbor (not the one with whom I've generally been playing). He's not been playing as often as he used to, due to health issues: first his own, now both of their dogs. The younger dog is undergoing chemo treatments, the older one is showing signs of anxiety disorder.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

G'mornin' from the office! Yeah, it's been a few days, not that it matters to anyone else. But I've been around and safely caffeinating, thanks Martin...and have a fun trip!

Mid-80s today, with a chance of rain this afternoon and likely earlier looking at the radar. But I rode in anyways. I think the wife thought I was crazy, and I am. I had already committed to riding in today and I always pack rain gear.

Been busy getting stuff sold, both mowers I'd been working on are gone now including Frankenstein. That plate has been cleared. One buyer asked if I did repairs. I said not normally but can. So he's going to drop of a Toro Timemaster on Sunday for a few things. He runs a landscaping biz but is in no rush, as I am not...its a hobby for me. Debating selling the rider too. I don't really use it and it takes up space. But good to have when I need to haul wood and leaves around from cutting or after a storm.

Saturday will be busy with another of the wife's horse shows, then reffing volleyball, then dealing Craps for a casino event. Sunday I rest. Take care y'all!

Morning all! Sunny and blue sky trying to peek through the smoke haze. 12C now, 25C later.

At the office a bit early and it's deserted which is nice. I may try to duck out early and get a bit more paint on the house.

Morning Martin & All from a very wet morning in Southern Utah!

Currently it is 59F, heading for 75F. We have a good thunderstorm(s) overhead, and so far in the last hour we have gotten 0.13" of the wet stuff. And more to come, no "waiting to see" this time! The winds have been from the ENE @ 6 to 19mph. And later the winds will be from the WNW @ 14 to 16 mph.
