Good morning!
Coffee made by Mrs Stu (she left for work before I got up…) for y’all, it’s good!
Sourdough bread with eggs and melted cheese.
OJ and RC cola and some Pepsi as well.

Yesterday we took a long coastal walk.
Later I pulled the boat up on the trailer, and drove it home.
I’ve used a local place, only three minutes away, until now….they’ve raised their fee with 400% !!!
So I found a free place, 15 minutes south of us.

12˚c/54f, 10mph breeze from southwest, overcast.

There’s a heatwave in Europe right now, but as usual it’s not affecting us at all.

@Whisker Bill Safe and fun travels onwards Brian!

Have a fine day!
Stu

From yesterdays walk…..flowers in a harsh environment….

The meaning of life remains unclear,
but it definitely isn’t whatever you’re doing right now... :coffee:

G'Day...

16°/31°C, glaring blue skies... ☀️
commuting with ST, mesh jacket... 🥵

back to the home Nespresso, office Nescafé routine... ☕

office, yuck... :cautious:

I’ve used a local place, only three minutes away, until now….they’ve raised their fee with 400% !!!

Maybe extra fees for preventing Freya boarding it...

Good morning and thanks for the coffee, Stu.

It's sunny and 53, rising to 85, later.

Yesterday, we took the time to watch our town's brief Memorial Day parade with our neighbors.
We had dinner at one of the usual places in town, but that's about it .

Today , I've got a dental appointment for a checkup.
I also staged the parts for our front porch stairs , and will install that when I'm back from the dentist.
Brenda will go bowling this evening , and we'll find dinner at some point.

Brian, I hope you made it home.

Enjoy your day ,
Steve

Morning all, and thanks for the coffee Mrs. Stu.

Only 15 minutes? Who doesn't love a free launch.

It was a glorious ride into work this morning. The kind that makes you glad to be alive and just drive on by the exit to work and keep enjoying the morning. Sunny, everything glistening from the overnight rains, a warm 12C. Just an amazing morning. Later it's supposed to cloud over and head upward to 23. Today's the beginning of the end of my half days, with today, tomorrow & Thursday left to take. Where did 8 weeks go?

Regardless, here we are. Hope everyone has an excellent day, and travels safe if on the roads... it's a 20hr drive from NS to Stokes Bay!

Obo.

Up earlier than usual, but with all the rains this weekend, there was sufficient napping available to compensate.
Thanks for the coffee, Mrs. Stu. Still too early for breakfast.
No mower repair accomplished, because every time I began, the falling water shooed me back inside.
Sunday was lunch with friends, yesterday was mostly watching Band of Brothers.
Besides the historical aspect, I think I liked the short vignettes of the survivors' remarks the best.
The series was released 25 years ago, so most of those paratroopers have passed away now.
I would rate it next to Saving Private Ryan for bringing home the horrors of war on an actual battlefield.
War has changed.
People, for the most part, have not.
And the human cost has not.
That's all I have to say about that.
It's another rainy day, and I'm not sure I want to know about the rest of the week.
* * *
Silly me, I checked anyway.
Storms tomorrow, scattered storms the next day, rain the next, and light rain the next.
John -- there's no more drought here, okay?
Please stop sending us your wet weather!
At least make it stop for your RTE. I rode up there in rain last year!

Good morning, everyone. Thanks for the cup, Stu.

70/79 and the morning hours are filled with all the rain that @Sadlsor keeps sending my way. Looks like rain, every day for the next week, but then should clear up in time for my RTE.

Yesterday, while the ground was soggy, I hitched the lawn roller to the ATV and rolled the lawn, probably upsetting the moles who keep pushing up mounds. I may repeat the process this afternoon, after the rain stops.

G'mornin' from SoMD! I sit here in my riding garb debating whether it's worth riding thru rain to get to work, and maybe procrastinating to see if it'll move out. Not raining here, but I'll hit it at the worst traffic..not a pleasant thought. But the biscuits and gravy plus delish coffee is also partly to blame for my lateness. If I'm gonna get wet, I might as well be fat, happy, and wet. Thanks, Stu!

The weekend was punctuated by the wife's birthday, which we celebrated with a brunch-and-mimosa cruise down/up the Potomac. We did it for our last anniversary and she loved it so I hit repeat. Brought the daughter along too. She lives down the road yet hardly get to see her she works so hard, and I work hard (present moment excepted). And thankfully traffic didn't suck getting into that part of DC. Then a movie, Devil Wears Prada 2. She loved it. Me? Meh. It wasn't as cute as the first one but there was plenty to pander to their core audiences.

Not much else to blather about. Gotten more rain this past week than the last two months combined yet still in a defecit. Upgraded the faucets in the kid's guest bathroom. Resurrecting a laptop to do some lighting work since it looks like my services will be needed by two troupes simultaneously. It doesn't need to be powerful; older i5 running Win 10 is plenty. Just getting thru the year-plus of updates needed so it doesn't decide to do it mid-show (AMHIK).

Welp, I see a break in the rain...a chance to sneak in with only a light smattering. Take care y'all!

Good morning, all, and thanks for the coffee, Stu (and Mrs. Stu)!

What a rollercoaster of a spring this year! We had a run of glorious, warm, sunny weather, followed by a plunge back into March-like temps and rain. Mother Nature still can't seem to decide what season it is. Today, however, she has definitely settled on summer, because it's going to be a sunny but hot, sticky day. Right now, we're at 17°C/63°F with no humidity, but we'll eventually reach a high of 28°C/82°F with a feels-like of 32°C/90°F. Think I'd better get the shades down and the air going early if I'm to have any coolness in here at all later on.

Right, time to do something useful before it gets too stuffy. Everybody have a good one, stay safe and go safely. That means you, Brian, safe travels!

Patty

Morning Stu & All from sunny, but :wind1:, Southern Utah!

Currently it is 65F, up from 57F and heading for 75F. So far all the thunderstorms have bypassed us. We can see the rain in the distance, but we haven't gotten a drop! :well1: The winds have been blowing from the SSW all night, And will continue through the day. We could see them as high as 43mph.

I played washperson yesterday. Today, I'm not sure. I need to run to Home Depot and pick up some more mulch and drip line parts. So, I'll probably do that, so I can finish that planter I've been working on.

We'll eat once Chris is up. I guess I should go throw some eggs into the Insta-pot. And thanks Stu for the Pepsi(s)! :thumb:

Anyone :dr13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:

Good Afternoon, yeah cold ugly weather, so went back to bed, 60 F, clouds but finally finished That four letter wording, so time to install new Fuel filter in Avgas station, and Mow grass once it dries. Thanks Mrs Stu for coffee, stay safe Y'all G

Good afternoon/ evening everyone

Thanks to the Family Stoo for the coffee this morning. It helped get me out the door and onto the goof course at an early hour.

It was a soggy round, with high humidity in the air and on the ground, but the course was playable. My two playing partners and I were first of the day to tee off, so we blazed through the round in 3:25. It's nice when you can just walk up to a tee and hit, without waiting.

Cards online this evening with old friends will round out the day.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.
