The last Wineberry mirror covers in existence?

As a kid I used to love that Johnny Cash song - One Piece at a Time.

Now - what made me think of that ?

That Wineberry red is beautiful. My first ST1100 was in Wineberry. Slowly, the shades of Candy Red have got lighter.
 
I wouldn’t worry- yours is 21 years old- even if a little off, you may notice it but I doubt anyone else would. That is, unless your paint is severely faded.
 
The sun's ultraviolet rays is what kills the paint jobs on cars and bikes. Mines not bad after 22 years. I wax it come spring and fall and try to wash the bugs off after a long trip. I'm probably ocd though I do realize some can't do this since thier bike is on the road way more than mine.
 
I've been thinking of buying some of those cheap Chinese knock offs of the ST1300 mirror covers and putting away my OEMs for safe keeping for a similar reason (future lack of availability).

Red fades worse than other colors because it DOESN'T reflect the shorter wavelength, higher energy blue and ultraviolet photons that destroy dyes and pigments. This applies to almost anything that's colored. RED = BAD :)
 
And if it's not the color it may be the clear coat. Can you tell which is new and which is 20 years old? 277792400_5105550396187995_6804092504468870004_n.jpg
 
I'm not sure about your blue paint, but if I recall, the Honda paint process is a 3 stage procedure. The last step is a clear, pearl and metal flake on the 95-97 red. If you get too aggressive with trying to bring the color back by polishing, you may go through the clear coat. BTDT

I have been looking for a right mirror cover- same color.. any ideas

I might do it one day.
I have one mirror cover, the left one, that is halfway between wineberry and purple. It really has a purple shade.

It was probably repainted, with the "not exactly" same color, in the past.

Mirror covers are the ST1100 parts that usually get busted in a tip-over and are very hard to find.
Very seldom do you ever see any on EBAY (there are some white ones over in Europe available - pretty pricey).
Another piece made out of almost 'unobtanium' is the front half of the ABSII front fender.
Plenty of 'standard' front fenders but not many ABSII front fenders.
There are a couple on EBAY from Lithuania and Germany (again pretty pricey) but that's about it.

I have been looking for a right side wineberry mirror cover for much of the day. Frustrated as hell!!! Looked everywhere. A Gentleman test driving the ST laid it over and broke the cover. At least he was nice enough to make it right. BUT WHERE THE HELL DO I FIND ONE.

I’m so frustrated right now!! I even thought about trying to find a mirror cover in any color and just finding the color match and painting it. There’s a bunch of stuff overseas but I don’t really trust it.
