One of us had to do it so here it is. A thread just for NT1100 stuff..... and whatever else we get sidetracked into.
For starters the NT1100 is the direct descendant of the ST series and the sport tourer/touring bike todays market seems to want. Lighter, more legroom, more upright and yes it seems power is not the priority it once was. So it belongs here.
We get the US version. Yup whatever Honda decided is what we get. Not the first time and probably won't be the last the Europe gets cool stuff and we don't. Face it Ladies and Gentleman the US motorcycle market isn't what it once was. We are no longer the big prize for manufacturers. "You get what you get and you don't get upset."
What is exciting about it is it's A LOT of bike for the price. It's about $6000 cheaper than it's sibling the Africa Twin Adventure Sport. If you add bags it's still about $13,000! Look at what the competition costs. The NT is HALF the price of an RT. And in my humble opinion it's a better bike. I bet next year the NT1100 will be more money.
Anyway I hope everyone can benefit from this thread.
