The Sierra Buttes

Decided to ride to the Buttes the other day and lay/sleep next to a river. I've hiked to the top a couple of times, some years back. So many breathtaking angles to enjoy The 3 sisters. I've never ridden thru the Rockies, Smokies, etc.........yet. This is a good start. It's interesting/challenging when you're on top of the Sierra Buttes watching a summer storm come your way. Yep, get outa Dodge, fast. Enjoy.

Excellent pictures. One of the places that I still love in CA - the entire Sierra range is just magnificent, but could not tolerate the demise of the state and had to move away. The range will always be a stop place when we get down that way.

Love me some mountains.
REAL mountains.
Our Appalachians and even the Smokey Mountains are gorgeous, but really are just pretty hills, if stacked up against the Rockies or the Sierras.
