her 'suspicious early activity' yesterday got me worried for a moment... ;)

last night we peeked at the partial eclipse from an elevated point on a footpath overpass for a while...
the sun was already quite low, managed a very blurry cellphone pic...

after that, deckchairs and stargazing at the Perseides... 😎
observed 6~7 spectacular ones showing long, bright traces... 🌠

worrying is the density of satellites up there...
in the west-to-east orbit there swarming by in like 5 second intervals...
astronomers must really hate Elon from the depths of their guts... 🤔

Yesterdays x-country drive was beautiful and free from unwanted events.
My co-pilot fell asleep quite often.

It’s 25˚c/77f, some clouds, calm.
The first days of summer I’ve had this year.
Love it!

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee start, Martin.

It's partly cloudy and 66, rising to 79 with a mix of sun and clouds.
There's also another chance of an occasional rain or thunder storm.
It looks like we got a bit of rain overnight.

Yesterday, I made it to the gym for a bit, and walked the neighbor's dog for a bit.
She (the neighbor) was concerned about local bacteria in the water, since another dog had died from it, recently, and knowing Mattie, asked me to keep her out of the water. I chose a route that accomplished that mission that took me into the Corps of Engineers trail system that passes behind our high school. I'd been shying away from the trails because of the ankle, but it actually worked rather well.

Today, I'll head over to the VA for the last PT session for a while. I'll be on my own, while the therapist is on paternaty leave.
A gym visit is on my agenda, as well.

It's 72°F in Rockville, going to 88 that will feel like 93. Looks like the usual high-level haze is present in an otherwise clear sky with no threat of rain.

Yesterday's rescue mission concluded successfully. Today is uke day, then bridge online.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.
 
I don't like poetry,
I'm no good at writing.
If you don't stop the rhyming,
We could end up fighting.
Coffee is good.
I need to get coffee beans for the office, on the way in. Kaiser has never been left in the parking lot before... first time for everything.
This means I need to leave a little earlier, which means I need to get off the phone sooner.
Weather is warm.
It's gonna get hot.
It might rain today,
And maybe it's not.
Told ya.
I'm no good at this.
 
Cooking here. The UK's heatwave is back in full force 33c yesterday, sitting around 35c as I type (just after 3pm). Due another day like this tomorrow then the weekend promises more seasonable weather, down to 24/25c, but still no rain, brown fields and lawns everywhere.

May take a ride to the ACE Cafe, London on Sunday, it's Sidecar Sunday https://london.acecafe.com/article/trike-sidecar-sunday-sunday-16th-august-9am-5pm the only problem is it's such a boring ride, nice bit of the A40 up through the Cotswolds but then past Oxford and onwards just motorway and urban dual carriageway into London, plus I will have to pay £12.50 for the privilege of entering the London ULEZ (Ultra Low Emissions Zone) :mad: Still, it will be a day out and meet friends!

Too hot to ride so I managed to get out earlier and change the final drive oils on both the solo and outfit.... easy as the job is, I was perspiring quite heavily (nice polite English words) by the time I finished ;)
 
Morning Martin & All from another day of mostly clouds with some Sun, in Southern Utah!

Since yesterday, we have gotten .0.58" of rain, according to my outdoor weather station. And we could get more today.

Currently it is 72F, heading for 77F.. The winds are blowing from the SSW @ 15, and later, from the SW @ 16 to 20mph. The thunderstorms are supposed to last through tomorrow. We'll see. :well1:

So now, I'm having conversations with the WeSTOC Hotel, for the two dinners. With the low numbers signed up, the tables (that's a pun) have turned on the prices. We'll have to see what happens.

And with that, I got all of about 3.5 hours of sleep last night. So between this crud I have and now, lack of sleep, it should make for a Fun & Interesting day! NOT! :box1::box1::doh1:

Boiled eggs, bacon, toast & OJ for the morning start. Pepsi(s) on hand for later.
