coffee tricks me into thinking I'm in a good mood...
for about 27 minutes... :coffee:

G'Day...

8°/18°C, noticeable wind gusts, but mostly clear skies... ☀️

Nespresso charge at home :coffee:

a tad chilly on the ST in the morning... cold breeze causing watery eyes... 🥲
(and me too stubborn to close that Neotec... 😁)

bike working flawless... as expected...
tarmac still not providing full grip, slight sliding/slippery feedback when pushed...

Nearly ran over a small naked, likely a 125cc... first he cheeky squeezes by me at the red-light... (I withheld from passing him upon green though... 🤔)
but then he suddenly stops right in the middle of the intersection for no apparent reason, while an HGV closes in from behind... 😠
so I discharged my trusty FIAM's... (check, working as well...) after which he might have realized that he isn't alone on the road... pfffff...
Unwritten rule: if you really have to get in front, better be gone!! 💩☠️ !!!

office Nescafé as a starter :coffee:

dull as usual, got the clearance to send the offer for the undersized AMAZON VRF system... wondering how that will turn out... 🤔

dang! My mug is empty! Crisis mode...

but: tomorrow is Friday! 😎

Thx Martin!
A long time since I ran over something naked….oh, the images…

Had an early doctors appoinment, ordered me to ride more.
He’s a keeper for shure.

8˚c/46f, sunny, 40mph wind from north, it’s cold!!

A long walk in a bit.
A visit to the library.
Leftovers for dinner.

Have a good one, take it easy!

Good morning Martin .
Thanks for the virtual coffee, though I'll have to wait a bit for the real thing.

My surgery went off OK yesterday , though not without discussion of my various issues and how they might affect their decision to operate. My Dr was satisfied that my bruising was out of his area of interest, but it took a bit more thought when it came to the anesthesiologist. I apparently lucked out (?) When I took the ride in the ambulance, and then had the CT scan. She was also a bit confused about the staples, since I'd be almost upside down during the surgery. It all worked out in the end, though, and now I'm in a room to recover.

Hopefully, they'll release me this afternoon.

BTW , it's cloudy and 43, here in MA, rising to 64, later.

Enjoy the day,
Steve

Good morning, all, and thanks for the IV push, Martin.

After days of rain and wind, we have a lovely day on hand. The current temp of 7°C/45°F will rise to a high of 13°C/55°F and the sun will shine all day. The high spring water levels still pose a threat in low-lying, riverside areas along both the St. Lawrence and Ottawa rivers, but the situation along the Ottawa is much worse. The area where I and @Andrew Shadow live are bone dry and not at risk. The creek that runs alongside my building is certainly running fast, but the water's nowhere near the top of the banks. There are beavers building a dam in it, though, so that may cause some issues farther upstream.

@Whisker Bill: I'm sorry to learn of the passing of Miss Judy's sister. Heartfelt condolences to you and her family.
@steve3b3: Glad to hear the surgery went well, Steve! Now rest up and get well!

Everybody have a good one, stay safe and go safely.

Patty

Morning all, and thanks for the startup, Martin.

Clench, rinse, repeat.

2C here and a mic of clouds, rain & snow. Will reach only a high of 4.

@steve3b3 Good that part of the ordeal is over. Now heal up all the maladies and stay clear of new ones as best you can.

Home again today with the back, but that's good as the roofers were here early to inspect mine. I had the house redone a week or so before Christmas, and it appeared there was some damage on the new shingles from the storm a few weeks back (that blew a tree onto my neighbours house.) As I've seen them going from the truck to the ladder with new shingles, I assume the inspection did indeed find damage, which they are currently repairing.

Hope everyone has a great day and has a decent roof over their head. (unless you're out riding.)

Obo.
