Thursday Coffee/Weather

good morning all. thanks for the coffee Peter. 56F on the dog walk with a clear sky and a lot of stars to look at and enjoy. the wife said last night that she needed some things from Walmart. looks like my morning will be taken up shopping. they do have a good bakery so I see a donut or two in the cart

our high temp should be 77F. that will make the afternoon nice to be out side. my order from Rock Auto should be here today with replacement headlights and turn signals. that will give me something to do this afternoon. I'm done with cleaning the old ones as they are 21 years old and foggy again. enjoy the day

stay safe

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the hazelnut-flavored bean juice Peter. It's a pleasant change, although I certainly have no complaint to make about the usual brews provided here for my enjoyment.

The WWD* (Windows Weather Dingus) tells me it's 50°F and cloudy in Rockville, with a chance of rain between 0800 and 1000 hours. The high will be around 64- quite mild, once again- with clouds beginning to dissipate and disperse late in the afternoon.

Mrs. Fun bullied me into a little light yardwork yesterday afternoon; one of our hydrangea bushes now bears a strong resemblance to a victim of brutality as a result, but I'm sure it'll snap back. If not, I probably won't miss it all that much.

The local chapter of the Halt, Lame and Infirm Club met for wine and chitchat yesterday evening on our front porch. Two neighbors are recovering from recent knee surgeries (one arthroscopic cleanup, one total replacement) and together with my own post-surgical neck wound made for plenty of conversational fodder. We actually had all the regulars- seven of us- plus another occasional drop-by member in attendance. Before the rain comes this morning I'll have to go pull the SoloStove in under the porch roof and get it cleaned up and put away.

I'll try to join the local uke club his afternoon, at their regular Thursday jam session. I've only been once so it's not as though they'll really have noticed my absence, yet a warm welcome is nearly guaranteed; it's just how ukulele players roll.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them.

Morning all, and thanks Peter, for the coffee and getting us started.

-8/-10 and sunny, headed to 1/-3.

It's not above freezing, but will be.

I had a dream I was running a dating website for chickens, but had to shut it down as I couldn't make hens meet. I feel for @Mellow and all he has to put up with.

Hope everyone has a great day and as @Weaselinsuit might say, makes a couple of "buck buck buck-uks."

Obo.

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee start, Peter.

It's cloudy and 33, going to 49 with on and off rain, today.

I made it to the gym, yesterday, but not the planned walk.
Instead, we went to the local appliance store, and bought a new washing machine. Yep, a Speed Queen, like a few of you, and the repair man mentioned.
We celebrated with Linner, after a quick trip to Home Depot for one or two things.
Brenda asked that she not see the fieldstone foundation (and cobwebs) behind the washer, so I started that project by cutting the 2x3 base board from the framing along the wall. I'll finish framing that up ,and cover the wall with some plywood that I have hanging around.

The gym is also in today's plan, and we'll see if I can walk between the raindrops.

Enjoy the day,
Steve

Good morning all!
Thanks for the hot start Peter!

We (they) finished up getting the furniture moved @ 9 last night! Amen for two young men willing to work! There is still plenty to do!

54/80F here in Ridge Manor, with a W breeze to cool us off!
Well it’s time to move on!
I’ll check in later!

Good morning, and thanks for the start-up, Peter!

As predicted, it's a little colder today: -3°C/27°F (feels like -7°C/19°F) now, 0°C/32°F (windchill -4°C/25°F) later. And it's going to snow...aaaall day. The flakes should start coming down in an hour or so. If the forecast is correct, tomorrow should be lovely and sunny, but it will snow again, and quite heavily, on Saturday; just as I'm boarding a train to Ottawa to visit my sister and see a show by renowned Canadian guitarist Jesse Cook at the National Arts Centre. Should be enjoyable.

Everyone have a great day, stay safe and go safely.

Patty

Mmmmm hazelnut! Thanks! It's a cloudy/spitting rainy 56F/13.5C down in SoMD. No ride into the office for me, but gotta get my arse moving. Nothing exciting except I got my Amazon $70 special Battlax BT-020 rear tire in yesterday. So, I'll have that ready to go when I wear mine out. Still available if anyone is interested:

Time to get moving. gotta clean up snowthrower work in the garage and head out. Take care y'all!

Great couple of commuting days, just a we but cooler today but will be another clear day. I've waited all winter for this spring... all 4 days of winter.
Thanks for the coffee, Peter. Oh, wait... did you say "hazelnut"? (Sliding to the back of the line.) My Beyond Black is still fresh and hot.
Ok, I'm tight on time, just had time to skim my predecessors in this thread.
Ride if you can.
And RIP Gene Hackman, gone after 95 years with us. Quite the prolific actor.

Good morning and thanks for the coffee Peter. 42F warming to 52 this afternoon, and SUNNY! O yes, sunshine on my shoulder makes me happy!
I also saw the news about Gene Hackman. Great versatile actor... loved his portrayal in the true story of the basketball coach in Hoosiers, and so many more.
Attended the EOU v College of Idaho Women's BB playoff game last night. Tied up at the half, but let the W slip away in the final quarter. Chin up ladies, they had a winning season and made it to the playoffs. Well done. A fun season for us fans.
The day will find me in my office studying for Sunday, but enjoying the view of blue skies .

Morning all! Sitting on the ferry over to Vancouver for a meeting and site tour of one of the projects I’m attached to. It’s a cloudy day and there’s the chance of rain, so I took the bike.

I actually took it because I didn’t get approval for the trip till 5 pm last night which meant all the reserved spots on the ferry were sold out. But you’re pretty much guaranteed a spot if you’re on a bike.

It was a gorgeous sunrise though;

Hope everyone has a great day!

I have never missed a ferry when riding a bike, had a one ferry wait as a walk on and to many when I took the car. Awesome pictures.
My phone says Cloudy but dry
Have a great time here at Big Smoke

Morning Peter & All from sunny, Southern Utah!

Currently it is 36F, up from 20F and heading for 57F. No breeze yet, but later we'll see the winds from the NW @ 7 to 8mph. Tomorrow the Weather Guessers are saying it could be 64F, and then by Monday, 45F and rain. Likely story. We'll believe it when it's on the ground! :well1:

Chris is still having fun in LA, she called last night to tell me that they haven't killed each other yet. :cautious:

I pulled out the 05 from the garage and took the pressure washer to it. It's a bit cleaner now. I'll yank off the front cover today, to see what condition it is in. Also my Gates thermo clamps came in. I still haven't ordered parts yet. I'll do that once I can see what the front cover looks like.

Lazyman's breakfast. Pepsi(s) will be on the menu for this afternoon.

Anyone :bl13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:

I need you to train me how to take pictures!
@Whisker Bill Thanks for your supportive attitude!

If you actually want to know…..

I use a Samsung Galaxy A21s, it’s five years old. Nothing fancy.
In the photoapp I set it to wideangle, (0,5 on the screenshot), and then I usually slide the sun image/ amount of light a bit to the left (down), unless it’s snow, then right.
I often go down on my knees taking landscape shots, unless anyone sees me.

That’s it, I really don’t have a clue, but I’m often happy with the result.
