Morning all!

French roast is in the pot. Enjoy!

0 here and snowing hard. Visibility for the drive to work was very poor. It'll transition thru ice pellets, hail, freeing rain and then onto rain as the temps go up to +6 later today. It'll then drop again overnight with more snow. This is the way of March. Ohhhhmmmmmm.

Enjoy the day!

Obo.

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the coffee Obo but be sure to save plenty for yourself: it sounds like a traffic / driving nightmare where you are.

Here in Rockville it's 51°F and clear. Mostly sunny with a high of 81 is on the schedule. I can live with those numbers.

Stage one of the dental implant process went fine yesterday but I was uncomfortable for much of the night. There's a limit to how much acetaminophen you're supposed to be able to take without causing liver damage and other nasty side effect; I'd prefer the dull throbbing ache for a day or two, versus a lifetime with a damaged liver so I'm staying well below the 24-hour dosage maximum.

Thursday = uke day. 'Nuff said.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

Mornin’ y’all.

Thanks for the coffee Obo, but are you sure about the weather. Here, it’s 62 and birds are happily singing in the pre-dawn darkness. The high should reach a near record 85, with nothing but sun and a gentle breeze.

But, since I’m in Tennessee, tomorrow’s low will be 34. Riding the weather roller coaster.

I saw where Facebook was sued for purposely addicting users to their produce. I’m thinking the lawsuit against Honda might be next.

John

The average adult waits approximately 7–10 minutes after waking before deciding to hate everything.
A decent cup of coffee can delay this by up to 12 minutes... :coffee:

G'Day...

3°/5°C, overcast, gray, rain, rain and... more rain... 🌧️
Besides this are they still dangling wind- and snow-warnings above us...

home and office mugs absorbed... ☕

Haven't spotted a single snowflake yet (at least no meteorological... 🤔),
up at altitude further west, in the alps the situation is more dire...

Alright, back to my projects... but: tomorrow is Friday! 😎

Thanks for the start could use a shot of that to start my day tea won't cut it for what I'm looking at today. Will be demanding
At least the weather isn't bad which makes everything else a lot easier to manage I don't envy having to work with that, I'm told we've had snow that hung around one day this winter but it was gone before I got home after work
A good one yesterday was being parked north bound in sunny New Westminster doing a report watching a storm cloud pass over my place in Coquitlam and getting the play by play live - Brief hail, yes it's true the sun shines
straight up now where was I oh yes
Good luck with those implants I'm midway in the calendar between the groundwork and the everything above grade phase - the healing time; this is the four and half month period where my gums have a chance to heal... between the first
six thousand, and last six thousand...
I had a hard time on the antibiotics notwithstanding I did everything I was supposed to including getting a lot of rest but I did not have an easy time all the same I should have taken a couple of weeks off at least
Spring appears to have arrived in this neck of the woods we've been very luck with the weather here on the wet coast I can take the rain a lot better than snow
Wish everyone a good one and a safe ride if you can get one in

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee start, Obo.

It's cloudy and 41 in MA this morning, rising to 66 with a chance of some on and off again rain this morning, and then just cloudy.

Yesterday, instead of the gym, I headed up to the local ski area for some spring skiing.
After the initial face plant, things went well, and I got to spend a little under 2 hours sampling the various terrain. I was saying to one of my chair denizens that the best way to learn to ski in spring conditions is to ski in spring conditions. I'm hopeful that I can get up there again, before their scheduled April 12 close date. I'll definately get an earlier start, though, since things were already sloppy when I hit the slopes a little before 11am.

Our neighbor stopped by to talk about some trees that he's going to plant along our property line, and we ended in a far reaching discussion. His mom owned the house, and after she and later her nephew passed away, he moved back from NY to the family home. He's planning on removing the above-ground pool and replacing it with a herb garden. There may also be some chickens in his future. I haven't told Brenda that, yet...

Later, I installed the handrail in our stairway, while Brenda prepared dinner.

Today, I'll probably head over to the gym for a bit.
Two of our skittish cats just made their appearance, and they're in explorer-mode, right now.

Enjoy the day,
Steve

Thx Obo!
Some wx you have….

We’ve had two days of heavy wind, 50-60 mph from northwest, heavy showers of sleet, hail and rain.
Find it hard to sleep when the roof tiles shivers, but at least my teeth are ok.

Yesterday was all about Peter.
Today is cleaning house and mancave….son’s coming home late tomorrow for his 10 days easter break.

It’s 5˚c/41f right now, and the wind will calm down later, sun’s supposed to show up too.

@ibike2havefun Hope you will recover fast!!

Have a good and painless one!
Stu

I was still pounding the Snooze button when @Obo opened the Cafe this morning.

It would seem at least Keith got to sleep through the night, unless he just waited a while to jump in.

The birds are quiet here this morning, and I think I may know why.
A pretty gray cat occasionally roams our back yard, likely some neighbor's animal. As the sun was barely starting to make an appearance, I was sitting outside while the light was still dim, and I heard some squeaking-kind of sound. I looked around, and saw this gray cat walking calmly by a few feet away... with a big fat chipmunk in its mouth. The rodent was still alive, but maybe not for much longer.

It stopped and turn to look at me, almost as if to say, "Look what I found! Breakfast!"

I reckon the birds are taking note.

Haven't spotted a single snowflake yet (at least no meteorological... 🤔),
Now, that's funny, right there!

Yesterday I managed to replace the starter rope and pulley on our push mower at the office. And after I printed the carb, it roared to life at the first pull!

It's the identical model as the push mower at my house. Why can't I fix my own machines!?! It's ridiculous. Two riding mowers and one walk behind mower, dead over here.

But my Stihl chainsaw runs and cuts like a beast! So there's that.

Alright, I'm done. High of 84 today and I'm digging it.

"It's not that I don't want to mow, it's that my equipment is on strike".

G'mornin' from SoMD! It is March Madness indeed around here with the temps jumping up and down and throwing all sorts of crazy weather at us! Thanks for the early hit, Obo. It was actually me that woke up first at 0611, but the Herd wouldn't let me slump back into nocturnal bliss. Once I'm up, it's feeding time!

It's a WFH day for me, should be really nice for a bit before the temps drop and wind picks up...yet again...as another front comes through tonight through tomorrow. See what I can get done outside while I can. At least try to get some sun on my face!

I saw where Facebook was sued for purposely addicting users to their produce. I’m thinking the lawsuit against Honda might be next.
Sounds like a slam dunk to me. I mean look at us! Pining over decades-old hardware that we just can't let go of. Get me some of that!
A decent cup of coffee can delay this by up to 12 minutes... :coffee:
And a bad cup can shorten it to microseconds.

Tuesday was the first day this year to get out and play volleyball in the sand...and despite the temp being below 50F, IT WAS GLORIOUS. And I didn't even make a fool of myself, much...how does one trip in sand??? Sadly I'll have to wait until next week to go out again and defend my perfect, undefeated record.

Otherwise, just garage stuff and getting some props and set built for the upcoming show in April. Until next time, take care y'all!
