Good morning all, French Roast is in the pot, along with some sticky buns.

Guess this explains why I couldn't find today's post yet again. There was none!

All good now. You can relax.

8C and cloudy, still wet from the overnight rains. We may see 17 for the high, but still under cloud cover. Meh. Better than rain, or white fluffy frozen rain.

Hope everyone has a great day, whatever you get up to.

*hugs* (in case you need one)

Obo.

Good morning everyone

thanks for the start, @Obo but I think you're stuck in the past. Although today is the 14th of the month, according to my calendar it's Thursday not Wednesday, and May not April.

Wednesday, Thursday April May14th coffee and weather

FTFY

It's 51°F and cloudy in Rockville, where we received a bit over 0.5 inches of much-needed rain yesterday evening and overnight. Much of it came down in a storm of frog-strangling intensity, though, so I'm not sure it did much more than flush the storm drain systems. Today we'll continue under gray, cloudy skies but not much threat of meaningful rain, as the temperature struggles to reach 60 degrees. It's all uphill from here, though: the daily highs from tomorrow through next Tuesday are predicted to be 72, 82, 88, 92, and 93 respectively. Those numbers look like my golf scores as I approach the halfway point on a round.

It's Thursday (I may have mentioned that already) so it's ukulele day. I'll spend time this morning going through the songbook of the month, picking out and practicing tunes I can choose to lead if someone else hasn't called them first.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee start, @Obo.
The cats tricked me into thinking it was feeding time, this morning, so they and I were up at 5:30 instead of 6:30. I predict another mid-day nap, especially after waking around 3:30 for a bio break...

It's cloudy and 53 in MA this morning, rising to 57 with rain, later. It's supposed to be here by noon and last most of the day.

Yesterday's visits from the PT and visiting nurse folks went okay. The PT lady gave me some stretching exercises for my foot, and the nurse checked out the scar that's pinkish. Her visits will stop after one more, next week. I don't know about PT. She told me that if I'm able to work, they're not authorized to visit and I'll need to make other arrangements. This after I mentioned working at the track next Monday. If that ends, I'll call up the VA for an in-house PT session.

Today, I have no real plans.
Hinge of the bathroom door needs to be tightened, but Brenda won't let me decend the cellar stairs for tools, after my header down our upstairs ones
Since Brenda cooked dinner last night, I imagine that we'll be dining out, today

Good morning, folks. I haven't posted much lately. Thank you for your cafe post, Obo. Here in Minneapolis, 50F will be warm up to 76F

I have been moving my stuff to Georgia over the last couple of years, and moving as I go back and forth. After 45 years of living in MN,
I have been collecting a lot of stuff. It has been eventful. Also, I have surgery on my Bunion and have 3 months off on a short-term disability from work.
Anyhow, I still have two more loads to move on my enclosed trailer. I will retire in December. That's the news!

Thanks @Obo for the coffee. As an old retired guy I'm not sure I even care what day or month it is as long as I have coffee!

It is a damp 44F here this morning, heading towards 54F, with steady rain forecast until midday tomorrow. I am getting a bit mossy around the edges with all the recent dampness!

Well, the garage saga is progressing.... permits have been received and posted, the propane tank and line have been relocated away from danger and the only thing left in the old garage is the tractor and a step ladder. (Hence the reason the ST1300 is hidden behind/under a pile of stuff in the shed.) The electrician is coming today to finalize the plans for the backup generator and figure out what unlabeled circuit breaker is currently powering the garage. The dumpster for the demolition debris is arriving tomorrow. Dig Safe has supposedly been called but I doubt they will have anything valuable to say out here in rural nowhere. Demolition starts Monday.

Be safe, be careful and watch out for flying demolition debris!

Good morning, all, and thanks for the Wednethursday Maypril coffee, Obo!

Sorry I've been AWOL for a bit - had an old and dear friend in town visiting from Edmonton, Alberta. She's originally from Montreal but has been living in Edmonton for the past 20 years; she's a professor at the University of Alberta. Like many people out there, she's counting the days to retirement. It was good to see her.

It's going to be cloudy and/or rainy pretty much all day today. 8°C48°F now, 15°C/59°F later.

@Sadlsor: Glad to hear you had a good birthday, complete with coconut cake, ice cream, mylar balloons and a birthday card from the pup! What more could you ask for?
@TipSTer: Wow, that's a lot of back-and-forth, but it sounds like the end is in sight. And December isn't very far away - soon you'll be happily settled in Georgia!

Well, that's it for me today. Everybody have a good one, stay safe and go safely.

Patty

Thx Obo!

9˚c/49f, overcast, 35mph wind from north.

It’s a public holiday over here, not that it makes any difference for me though…other that I’m under supervision.

Two days ago I smelled gasoline in the garage.
Culprit was a leaky return fuel hose on the ST.
Found a new one locally, $6.

While I had the plastic off, I did the brake and clutch bleeding, as well as replacing oil, filter, and the rear gear oil.

Been for a walk, tidied up the garage.
The wind is bothersome, I hope to stay indoors this afternoon…

Have a calm one!
Stu
