OK is this Better? I think I lost some ground clearance going from Z6 160/70 17 to PR2 170/60/17

Same here... until I upgraded to the Wilbers suspension ;-) Now I can use all the thread surface without dragging valuable metal parts on the tarmac. But especially on the front tire I still face the issue of wearing the sides off quicker then the center... still working on that though... :-D

Surprise Surprise! Went back and checked the Tire Pressure, The Shop told me they put 40 PSI in it. I just checked and it was at 35ish. Now back to 42 where it belongs. That might help.:
