Had a brief we're-out-of-coffee nightmare...
truly terrifying... :coffee:

853002114_1086822541025665_6220187639115053333_n.jpg

G'Day...

6°/16°C, 85% RH, partially cloudy and gusty winds... 🌥️ 🌬️

early start, slurped my cups with ze GF... ☕☕
she off to the office... me the "houseman"... ;)

bread maker is whirling and ticking... 🍞

night temperatures are now continuously below 10°C...
the cold tarmac providing less grip when darting through the city on the ST...
not the season to get carried away on the throttle grip...

Alpine regions in the west report the first snow... ❄️

So I'm gonna heave ze GF's wheel set with winter tires out the basement, and throw them into the Skoda's trunk...
Then a ride across town to my place, reviving the trusty Toyota and drive to the shed to perform a wheel-swap... 🛞

in the evening I'm going to pick her up at a friend's place, who runs a small car workshop, where she drops off her Skoda for service,
minor body repairs (edge rust keeps eating on the wheel arches...), fixing an oil leak at the vacuum pump drive shaft, wheel swap and annual MOT...

yep, summer is over, they're already selling gingerbread at the groceries, soon we start complaining about the continuous cold... ❄️☃️🥶

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the start, Martin. You'll wonder soon enough how you ever found the time to go to work.

It's 45°F and clear in Rockville now; sunny with a high around 70 is expected later- just right as we enter the final third of the month.

Yesterday the HVAC guy diagnosed our furnace issue as needing the controller board replaced; it'll be installed today and I'll transfer something north of $1,500 to him just for the part. I've no idea what the labor charge will be. He said, as he has before, that the proprietary parts for Carrier / Bryant systems are hideously expensive. It appears he knows whereof he speaks.

In other news... there is none, or at least none from the House of Fun. There's plenty of news out in the world but I don't deal in that.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

Morning all, and thanks for the startup, Martin.

It was a bike morning, cold no matter. 2C and foggy for the ride in. Makes one feel alive, like a polar dip or ice bath! Would have been a bit nicer had it not been pitch black in the mornings now. Took it easy on the bridges, as they tend to freeze before the roads do as there's nothing under them to insulate. It'll be a cloudy 14 for the ride home. But it's riding!

A couple of sky shots from last night, looking West to the Moon and East to the sunset.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Obo.

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee start, Martin.
Brenda did some shopping, yesterday, so I'm enjoying a cherry turnover with mine.

It's clear and 37f/3c, rising to 63f/17c later with generally clear skies. The wind should pick up to be from the NNE at 10-20 mph.

Yesterdays car day went off okay. They had few enough cars that they declared it to be open track, instead of groups of car types and driver's abilities.
I counted 9 cars on-track.
It ended up being an early day's end, when we ended things at 3:00pm.

I'll be back again for an event billed as "Track Night in America". We'll start at 1:30 and end around 5:30, so I'll have the morning to do stuff.

Enjoy your day,
Steve

Of only they made wheel kits for open frame generators! Oh wait, they do and they're under $100

I've got 2 wheels on mine (11.5Kw Champion model) and a folding handle to move it, but sometimes that long haul thru the grass and or snow from the garage to the house where it plugs in, is quite a lug. Not sure 4 wheels would be a whole lot better. Got any photos you'd care to share?

Geez y'all are up early today.
Thanks, Martin. So you say, winter is here? (Or, at least summer is gone. Not necessarily the same, I guess...)
I Snoozed the alarm this morning for an hour, half-awake or is it half-asleep? Six smacks with 10-minute durations.
It's a rip-off, and a ruse.
Not really sleeping, but just refusing to get up.
But it's dark out, and cold, and un-motivating in the extreme. Maybe my reptilian brain is taking over.
Alongside Keith's heater woes, we found out Roz' Civic crapped its air conditioner compressor, so there's about $1500 going out ahead of Christmas.
Most of us normal people might be tempted to fix it next spring, but she's not natured and I come home every afternoon after work, to find our downstairs thermostat set to ...69°, and set to Cool. Not Heat.
Soon I fear it will be time to dust off the Warm and Safe gloves and jacket.
B.I.N.C.*
Have a good day, best you can.

*But I'm Not Complaining.

Good Morning, still dark outside,42 F high 62 F supposed to be Sunny today 93% humidity dew point 41 F which would explain the ground fog.
Left foot still sore and purple in spots, but I am walking without to much pain. Cut the grass yesterday, today is garbage day and service furnace and feed the Dog, which brings me to time to give Precious her Meds. Thanks for coffee and Y'all have a great day G

Morning all! Sunny blue sky day here with 8C for now and 18C later. Decided to wear the mesh jacket with a hoodie underneath so that I don't roast on the ride home.

Spent the weekend in Vancouver and came back last night. Our daughter was in a bodybuilding competition on Sunday and then went and got herself engaged yesterday. I told her fiance that there were no takebacks.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Obo; nice pics. Took these ones from the ferry terminal in Tswwassen ferry terminal last night:

Morning Martin & All from mixed Sun & Clouds in Southern Utah!

Currently it is 49F, up from 42F and heading for 68F, with possible wetstuff. No breeze now, but later the winds will be out of the S @ 13 to 15mph.

Hey Keith, that sounds like a VERY expensive Control Board! Check these guys out:

Carrier Control Boards....

Trip to Costco was another successful run, for them. Another (almost) $500 towards Eye Exam & two pairs of glasses. And that's with a $50 off for buying two pairs! :rolleyes-2x:

Today will be to try to mow the lawns before any of that wetstuff hits us. The Weather guessers are calling for early afternoon, for that.

I also have some rewiring to do out at the sheds. So, if that wetstuff doesn't materialize, I might get to that after the lawns are taken care of.

Boiled eggs, bacon, toast, OJ & Lemon Tea. Cold Pepsi in the garage fridge (found room in there for them)

Anyone :bl13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:

I'm just not sure how we got here. We just brought her home from the hospital yesterday after all......

Well, you only have yourself to blame. Didn't anyone warn you if you keep feeding toddlers, they grow up to Teenagers and then they run off and get married and you're no longer the center of their life? :)

I'm just thankful, I had five boys and no girls!

I've been watching my boys being dads to their daughters, and I'm thankful, all over again! ;)
