The “Can Opener” got a bite out of a Class A, motor coach Sunday and a box truck last Saturday. It’s been pretty busy, lately.

I can't figure out if drivers don't know the height of their vehicle, they can't read and/or are swimming on the bottom of the gene pool! :think1:

Not so far from me, there is a low clearance bridge that open up several semis every year and even a few larger RVs and trailers.

The
Payne Sundial
is a historical landmark located in the southwest corner of Macon County, Tennessee, just outside the Trousdale County line. It is a popular local site often visited by commuters and residents in the Hartsville and Lafayette areas.

Key Features
  • Design: It is a large-scale, horizontal sundial built by David Payne.
  • Significance: The sundial is a notable enough local landmark to be featured at the bottom of the official Macon County Seal.
  • Accessibility: The site is open to the public with free admission and is considered a family-friendly destination.

Visitor Experience
  • Accuracy: Locals note that while it provides a solar time approximation, experienced visitors can use it to determine the actual time quite closely.
  • Environment: The landmark is situated in a rural setting where visitors occasionally spot local wildlife, such as deer, in the surrounding area.
