Top boxes

Hi, all I have been thinking of fitting a top box to my St1100. I was thinking of a givi top box but does anyone know does the one base plate do all givi boxes?? or any suggestions on a top box??

The base plate is the same, but you may have to get a different mounting kit to change from another bike. I love my GIVI.

I really like my Givi. The base plate mounts to the existing 4 bolt holes on the tail section. The Box then attaches/detaches from the base using a quick release method.

I have a Givi Maxia on mine and it has a ton of room without looking out of place.

Hi Dec,

Seeing where you're located, the Hondaline accessories topcases may be an option to consider. IINM, David Silver Spares is a source. Dunno, maybe you can even get them through a dealer.

PN info from my archives (IIRC there are other PNs for topcases with lids colormatched to some of the ST1100's colo(u)rs):

I sure like my Honda topcase. 14 years and 120K miles.

Cheers guys for help. I was looking at the Givi E470 which i like. GTEdge or anyone...when you say the base plate bolts straight onto rear of bike, do you mean through the bolt locations which hold on the rear grab rails?? If this is so then happy days as I will not have to purchase a rack??

Another less expensive option is a GIVI knockoff that's available from SEARS or JC Whitney for less than $40. I purchased the JCW version (looks identical to the Sears version) and redrilled mounting holes and added a CB antenna mount.

IIRC, the Givi Monokey and Monolock cases have different base plates.

I want to purchase a factory rear rack for my 2001 ST1100A.

Is there any current USA-based source for this rack?

Part number is 08L42-MT3-B00

I've been looking on eBay and google searching without success.

Just want the rack -- don't need top box for now.

Not to my knowledge. I probably got the last one in the USA Honda warehouses way back in '95. Try David Silverspares in the UK if you're looking for NOS.

That looks good. Looks better than the ST1100 box. The NT700 (Dueville) box can be ordered from the US dealers but only comes in the three US colors Silver, Wineberry. and Black. I guess one would need to paint it. How ever the Givi is still cheaper.
