Purchased my wife and I a set of these jackets for the "winter" riding season here in s.e. Georgia/Florida.

To date this is the warmest, most comfortable riding jacket I have ever worn. Much more manuverability than the leathers we have. I recieved a discount 20% discount from the dealership as he was getting 06 stock in. At least it sounded good.:-D

I have one as well... must say I've been very pleased with it. Just love the sleeve and collar covering... very comfy :) I have yet to use the liner... have ridin in lower 40's and was warm. ;)

I just found the hand pockets the other day... LOL!!!

I've always been pleased with my Tourmasters (3)- I will admit that my next jacket (on Order) is the Motoport Kevlar jacket. Lots more expensive than Tourmasters though. Never spent that kind of money on any kind of clothing - just hoping that it lives up to the cost. If not my next one will be back to Tourmaster.

Love mine!

I got my jacket a couple weeks ago and I'm impressed. Good thing it has plenty of vents though. When the temps can vary 30 or 40 degrees in a day, there's no way to fold it up or store it on the bike. Maybe if I empty the GIVI it would be possible. LOL

Overal quality is great. And I paid about $160 delivered from MAW if it matters to anyone.:biker:

Had to put my liner in this morning... mid 30's on the bike... nice and warm!!! :p: This liner is really nice... not really a pain to put in either ;)

I ordered this jacket based on this review. So it better be worth it :) Plus the price was right.

Also its only 129.00 from New Enough on close out.

I have both the sport and the 3/4 and couldn't be happier. I tend to wear the sport in warmer weather down to around 50 and then break out the 3/4 to bundle up a bit more. Both are extremely comfortable and provide a great deal of flexibility with the liners in/out and the venting opened/closed. I have been comfortable with them in the uper 80's down to a around 35.
The sale NewEnough has is fantastic....anyone thinking about one of these should jump on that price.

I tell ya what... if you don't like it, you can return it to New Enough... LOL!!!! You're going to love it. Some of the guys from NASASToc really thought the liner was a jacket by itself  The quality is great... very nice ;)

Dudes.

What is the jacket like in the wet weather?

I ride all year round and I have yet to find a jacket or trousers that I can really ride in without thinking about carrying other waterproof gear.

I have tried loads of stuff that advertise 100% waterproof and I have yet to find any clothing that meets that requirement. Oh, sorry, I do have a pair of motorcyccle boots that are 100% waterproof and they are made here in the UK. The rest of the gear I think sucks!

If someone could really conjure up clothing that really is 100% waterproof, then I would buy it. However, so far, you name it, I will test it and I bet the stuff leaks.

What you have to think about is that here in the UK, we have different weather conditions, and our clothing does take a beating. Just wondered what the jacket was like in heavy rain etc!

Is it year around

Is the Tourmaster a year around jacket? I don't ride too much in colder weather, but ride a lot in 100-105 F days in the Houston, Texas area.

Starting on cooler morning rides, I wear the my Joe Rocket Phoenix and a Motoboss rain jacket on top, this works real well at 50-75 F. If it is going to be cold all day, a leather jacket is used. The Phoenix is starting to get a little old and worn, it's about replacement time. The First Gear mesh and Vanson mesh look pretty good for summer use, Aerostich is too expensive for now.

I haven't ridden in a down pour yet... give it time :D

Your welcome to join me any time on a ride LOL.

Presently ride Revitt gear, it was given me for testing. Revitt are based in Holland and they give out the 100% waterproof suggestion! Mmmh, I will conflict there advert.

Also tried Gerick stuff, Bellstaff and so on, and I have still yet to find clothing that is 100% waterproof. As you may realise here in the UK, we get more chance to test the stuff due to our weather situation.

The only piece of clothing I have found 100% waterproof are boots made by Altberg. They are based in Yorkshire in the UK and they provide Police, Driving Standard Agency and anyone else worth their salt in motorcycling, and I can honestly say, they are 100% waterproof.

I am on my last pair of those boots and it looks like I will have to buy my next pair, I had them supplied before through my job, but I can honestly vouch for them. As for the rest of the biking gear, I am open minded and willing to try anything. LOL

I'll get rain soon  The Houston area get's quite a bit... it just dumps when it decides to rain  Good thing I got them Pilot Roads comin :D

Yes this jacket is rain proof... the only problem I had is the collar. It is a little big, so it has a gap in it. Rain get's in there and your shirt will get wet around that gap... otherwise, rain proof... and warm. ;)

I got mine. Very nice. Just have to wait for the roads to be safe again before I venture out with it.

I'm getting lazy  If you turn your liner inside out, you can zip it up and were it as a seperate jacket under your Advanced jacket :p: No more having to put in and take out... very warm by itself too ;)

Excellent idea...never thought of that. Thanks for the tip.

Toasty

I got this for Christmas (this coming Christmas) and just had to try it out today. It has plenty of pockets and is plenty warm. Can't say how water proof yet nor how it handles skidding across hard pavement, but I think it is a GREAT jacket!

Tourmaster Jackets

I have owned three. Sold them as new models come out. They can be had on eBay cheap. My current one (2nd gen sport) cost $69 new, delivered. I do not like it as well as the old 3/4 jackets I had because the pockets are too difficult to get into.
I just ordered a new advanced from motodepot.com for $129.00, they are on closeout.
