I bought a pair and rode with them once...it was a warm and humid morning in Georgia. The ride started at 8:30AM and lasted about an hour. Temps were in the mid 80's when I finished. Here's my impression:
In the confines of my air conditioned home, the gloves fit beautifully....easy on and off, immediately comfortable. They fit my hand really well. I fell in love with them and had high hopes that these were going to be my warm-hot weather gloves...both breathable and waterproof. In fact, doesn't the name...Dri-Mesh conjure up visions of waterproof (Dri) and breathable (Mesh)???
However, my hopes were soon dashed.
They don't seem to breathe at all. They appear to have lots of mesh and I expected that there would be a great deal of air circulation through them....not so. In fact I was immediately struck by the absence of any air movement. And soon my hands began to feel warm and "clammy". In fact, when I tried to remove them at the ride's end, my hands were so sweaty that the liner stuck to my fingers and I basically pulled the glove inside out trying to remove them. Ughhh....not a good warm weather glove at all.
I think they are lined with a material that makes them (supposedly) waterproof, but completely inhibits any breathability. Consequently, they are very warm...not what I was looking for.
I did not have an opportunity to test them in the rain.
But rather than return them or trash them after one ride, I think there may be a use for them. If they are waterproof (and I read what others said to the contrary) they may be useful for a coolish day that turns rainy. I doubt they'd be good (for me) in anything cooler than the 50's and they definitely don't work when it's over 80. So, maybe there's a role for them a narrow window.
I'll keep them in my pannier in case I hit the right combination of temp and humidity.
But I cannot recommend them.
My search for a good waterproof, warm-hot weather glove continues.
