I'm pretty sure the Bandit ABS is the same platform. Don't know if the Suz catalog has fairings but they do have bags for the Bandit.

Hmmm, I may have to hit 200,000 on my 04 ST1300ABS since I figure Honda's prices are getting very Germanic for new ones anywho. Or wait a couple of years or so and buy a used '11 model. I'm gonna have a closer look see at the Bandit though with fairing, bags and ABS. I could live with a chain again. Changing it once a year is not a biggie and occasional squirt of Dupont Teflon Multilube isn't a hassle either.

Call me wild,,, call me crazy but,,, if that has an 8.2 gallon tank,,, it must be some of it below the seat line somewhere... It just does not look like an 8 gallon tank in this video crawling across the stage...

I think it has a charging station no sound system not sure though

Bar risers??? I have done this to every bike I have owned. Sombody on the Bandit list must be making peg lowering gizmo's like MCL's product...

Almost pulled the trigger on a late model Bandit 1250 with the bags, etc.
Dang, that motor screams!
My problem was the peg location and handlebar lean, just to old to play that game anymore. But did I say I LOVE that motor?

The only issue for me with this bike would be the short range with the fuel tank. I would have a hard time with warning light coming on at 140 mi. But other than that, it could be made to be a pretty nice sport tourer.

I have always been treated better in a Triumph dealership than a Honda dealership. Honda may have more, but they have more that are a-holes too.

I agree... it's a small tank in my opinion but that seems to be the norm - a 200 mile-ish tank.

I don't care for chains either even though they have evolved... just too messy and I don't wanna deal with them.

Like on my Versys...I oil it myself! (Well, wax it actually...can we start a chain lube thread?)

Just got back from the Triumph dealer. Man is that GT a good looking bike! :bow1: I have not been as impressed with a bike's looks since the FJR1300 first came out. It looks a lot better in person than it does in the pics on Triumph's website. The salesman started it up for me and the sound at idle was simply beautiful. And I can NOT believe the size of the panniers. Really set up nice for touring.

Now to find out important things about it such as alternator output, expected MPG, etc.

5.3 gallon tank, chain, non-hydraulic clutch, thin dealer network.... I STILL like it! Me want.

More like a 250 mile-ish tank. I ride my 08 Sprint hard and loaded with camping gear; never gotten below 50 mpg. My recent 4000 mile WSB Salt Lake City trip was 56 mpg average; the 4500 mile CTSToc trip 54.5.

My butt however is 200 mile-ish :.

The chain is original and has 24K miles with virtually NO maintenance.

That's what my V twins get - Ducati, and VSTrom (15k -20k). The inline 4's and 3's get more due to smoother power pulses - FZ1 30-40K, Triumph to be seen .....

None of them get any more maintenance than adjustment, cleaning, and maybe lube at tire changes ...... (that's every 6-8K miles ).

Well I went to a local dealer for the demo day in Evansville IN and no BIKE said there was a delay got me a shirt tho. If I ride this bike and decide I like it there could be some trouble with my 32+ year marriage sine I just bought a used ST1300 about a week ago
