Got my Comie Top case in today. I really like it. Can't wait to get it on bike looks like im going to have to wait a couple days before doing it since I cut my finger off at work this am.
Damn. That dont bode well for my wife using it as a backrest. May mount mine solid with three bolts instead of just the one supplied location. I'm at the surgery center now for my finger. Not going to be able to sew it back. Just going to grind the bone down and flap the skin over it.Dang, sorry to hear about your finger! Can they sew it back on?
I got to work today and this is what my top box looked like, not good...

After only 2 weeks of normal use, the tab on the front of the box broke off (2nd pic). The only thing that held it on was the inner screw. I've left a review and contacted both Amazon and the seller. We'll see what happens.
Wonder if some welded flat bar inside that part of frame would keep that from happening?
Yeah, I definitely wouldn't use it, especially with a passenger, without further mods to mount it better, i.e. a couple more bolts near the front.Damn. Actually I got it smashed off. Was holding a backup wrench for a coworker while he was running a impact trying to get a leaf spring off a F350. The wrench spun and fought my finger between frame and wrenchYeah, I definitely wouldn't use it, especially with a passenger, without further mods to mount it better, i.e. a couple more bolts near the front.
Hope things turn out as best they can with your finger. How did it happen, a saw of some sort?
FWIW, I contacted the Amazon seller (LKF USA), explained the failure with pics, and they immediately issued me a refund. Plus, they don't want the broken box back. I asked about a new design, and they said "coming in the next few months". We'll see.
