4°/12°C, gray overcast, some heavy rain during night/early morning, roads still wet... more precipitation in the afternoon...

(... again I've been given hastily/unclear/contradicting instructions... hence procrastinating in an if<>then loop... instead of bringing the obviously expected "miracle" about... :unsure:)

Kinda "forced" ze GF last night to install the SENA into her new Schuberth C3 pro, by placing all on her lap... ;)
She: "... ah, yeah, dang, I forgot..." 😁
Also brought the installation manual, I'd printed out, stapled and horded in the closet... 😎
About an hour later the lid was back together and on the charger...

Weather looks promising for the w/e ride...
Ordered another spare battery, stuck in transit somewhere in Germany though... 😒

So, lets poke around in that Outlook inbox... pfffff... 🫤

Morning all, and thanks Martin, for the start up.

-2 and still dark here, headed to a sunny +3 later on.

We saw clouds, sun and snow in yesterday's afternoon and evening hours. I also got the snow tires swapped on my car, but in the process seemed to have tweaked the back. It's been a topsy turvy night, even with pharmaceuticals. But today's another day right!

I hope everyone has a great day, and if you're under the weather, you heal up quick.

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee start, Martin.

It's sunny and 24 in MA this morning, rising to 50 with a mix of sun and clouds. Wind will be 5-10 mph.

Yesterday, I hung out until my MRI. I was in and out in 30 minutes, and I'll receive results in a few days.

This morning, before the alarm, I was awakened by the familiar URK-URK-URK from one of the cats. Thank goodness for slippers!
I'll head out in a bit for a visit with my VA PCP.
Later I'll prep for tomorrow's surgery.

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the coffee, Martin. I hope it's HOT, because...

It's 30°F in Rockville. 30. Three Zero. Two below freezing. In Canadian, that's almost -1. Sunny with a high around 61 is what's on tap for later, like around 1700. hours, but for much of the day the outside temperature will feel "fresh" so I plan to mostly stay indoors.

Progress on the hutch refinishing yesterday took two unexpected turns. Contrary to my initial plan, I ended up stripping the main horizontal surface all the way to bare wood, which I've sanded up through 220 grit. I had first figured I'd have to do that to the entire thing but closer re-inspection of the rest of the piece leads me to think that all it really needs is a thorough cleaning using an oil-based cleaner / restorer, and a fresh wax job. There are some small repairs still required on one of the three drawers, but the main problem (the front had fallen off) has been dealt with.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

Cool, at 47, but will reach a sunny high of 78. Only light breezes. Can’t complain.

Some yard work planned, after another trip to pick up more bedding plants. It may even be time to de-winterize the camper. Hopefully, we won’t see another hard freeze, but who knows. It is TN.

Speaking of Sena, my Etymotics wired earbuds have gone mute, and I have to call Ety today. I must have gone through 5 pairs over 15 years, those wires are so delicate. But this set is only a few weeks old, and in thinking I can reason with them for replacement.
Two pair have fallen victim to sharp kitty teeth, that's on me. One pair may have been pinched in my helmet chinbar, my bad.
Overall, they last if I don't get too rough with them.
I've been getting by with Bluetooth earbuds but they're not as comfortable, and take meticulous care when putting on a helmet to not dislodge them, and one or both will nearly always fall in the ground when removing said lid.
First world problems, right?
52 going to 82, the 30° swings are annoying in the morning, but perfectly delightful leaving work.
Before long, I'll be sweating just leaving the house... but I won't mind.
Halfway through my first cup, I'm reminded of my talent for using lot of words to say very little. Note that I said reminded... because this is not some new revelation.
Steve, I hope your recovery goes easily and quickly.
Y'all get a break now from my meandering verbosity, as I need to refill my mug, and feed the cats.

I've found that a helmet liner keeps things in place while putting my helmet on or off

I didn't ride with any sound at all until about 3 years ago, when the Mrs. said she'd like to be able to converse without yelling and hand signals. I bought our first Cardo duo set then, and then last year swapped to the built in Sena's when we bought new Neotec modular helmets. Even when I'm riding solo now, I rarely use any music. I find I don't need the distraction and prefer to focus on the ride. Our comms are primarily used for just that, communicating with each other while on the bike.

Usually fall out / are dislodged when removing my helmet.

Speaking for myself: Built-in speakers do nothing to block wind noise as do the in-ear plugs, requiring more volume / more hearing damage to overcome wind noise.

I always wear a helmet liner. Helps when putting helmet on, not so much when removing it. I also pull apart the chinbar opening when I put it on or off, obviously it only moves "so" far.
In the end, Etymotics are the best solution I've found.
Again... speaking for myself.
 
Good Morning, so far anyway. Breakfast seems to want to stay in the Stomach, yesterday I was going through a JD's Cat impersonation , eat something that didn't agree with the System. Cloudy,10 C high 15 C no Water drops from the sky forcast. Which means can take the bike to the Drug store. Today's Chores, mow the grass, pack for trip to Victoria bc , Moms 90th birthday tomorrow. Oh and phone my Sister and wish her a happy Birthday today. Stay healthy and if you ain't get over it quick, G
 
@Sadlsor I find it funny earplugs (I do wear these) don't block wind noise but your earbuds do. Perhaps you just need the right earplugs. <shrug> I'm aware that using either speakers, or earbuds, to mask road noise, by increasing the music volume, doesn't really do anything to protect hearing, and is really doing the opposite. You're just sound masking with a higher volume, which shouldn't be the goal.
 
Morning Martin & All from overcast skies in Southern Utah!

Currently it is 56F, up from 45F and heading for 71F. A slight breeze now, but later the winds will be out of the SSW @ 30 to 45mph. According to the Weather App, no more freezing nights. But, subject to change without notice! :well1:

Other than running around, doing Chris to do list, I was able to get the :bl13: out around the neighborhoods for a few miles. :)

Today, I hope to get back to the Greenhouse.

When Chris gets up, we'll have some boiled eggs, bacon, toast & OJ. Pepsi(s) on the menu for lunch.
