GF suffering in ze car today, had to drive her mom to the morning physio...

Left the car the local shop again this morning.
AC leaking….pffffffft!

Stopped by a angling store on the return to use a giftcard that has been lying around for almost two years.
Still valid, and I got a lot of new lures.

Yesterdays resignment as the choir pianist became rather sad and moving, as expected.
A formal goodbye will be held end of May.

If they manage to fix the car, I’ll be on my bicycle again later to pick it up.

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the coffee, Martin.

It's a wet Tuesday morning in Rockville, where we currently have 60 Fahrenheits and expect only a couple more. It's been raining, at varying levels of intensity, since sometime yesterday evening and will continue throughout today and well into tomorrow morning. Naturally this brings areal flood warnings but we're on fairly high ground so they're no threat to us.

Mrs. Fun's sister and her daughter (co-author of Mrs. Fun's graphic novel) arrived from Charlotte and Florida respectively yesterday evening, and will stay for a couple days at least. There's a book-related presentation at the Japanese ambassadorial residence this evening, which is why the niece is here. I've been voluntold that I'll be helping out.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

It's 59 and sunny in MA this morning, rising to 71, later

I got to mow the lawn, yesterday, and managed a walk of the neighbor's dog after dinner.

Today, I'll head over to my friend's restaurant to attend to his grease trap. First time for me, so we'll see how that goes.

In other news, we found the neighbor's house empty upon our return from the track on Sunday. I guess Steven's partner found someplace a bit sooner than estimated. We saw a truck and trailer over there last week, so we had an inkling this was coming.

Also, the guy who got yeeted from his bike on Saturday posted on Facebook that he'd broken his wrist.

good morning all. thanks Martin for the coffee. 76F on the dog walk with nothing but thick cloud cover. you could see a faint glow of the moon behind the clouds but that was all you could see. still as always an enjoyable walk. not much on the list today for me but the wife has a doctors appointment in the morning. after she comes home there might be something on my list. I will just wait and see. the high should hit 89F. enjoy the day

Good morning, all, and thanks for the start-up, Martin!

It's clear and 13°C/55°F in my little spot on the Island of Montreal right now, but it's going to be a warm one for May; the high will be a very summery 26°C/79°F. No humidity though, which is a very good thing. Montreal summers are notoriously hot and very sticky, and the "scorchers" can be brutal. They'll be here soon enough.

I must get a move on, as I have to cover my burns with sterile pads before making my way to the clinic for an examination and new dressing change. Last time I was there, they told me that 2 hrs before my next appointment (which is this morning), I must take off the bandages, wash the wound with soap and water and leave it open to the air until it's time to go. It's moving into the "final" stages of healing now and needs air to help it along. Still going to take a long time, but we're getting there.

63/73, with possible showers. Can’t complain.

As soon as I can stand up straight, I’m headed out to the garage to finish the work on the bike, that I started yesterday. Yesterday, I decided that I’d waited long enough, so I mounted a car tire on the hack. After crawling around on the floor, and wrestling the stiff tire on the rim, today I’ve discovered an excess of years in this body. The hard parts over, just some bits and bobs remain, and then a test ride to see if I have to adjust the tracking of the sidecar. FerrySToc coming up in 2 days.

Good Morning, Sunny with a bit of a breeze from the east 50 F high of 64 F late this afternoon. Feeling better this morning, had breakfast Cheerios and two boiled eggs, and Coffee! Hand specialist doctor appointment at 1:30 only thing on my agenda, probably a waste of time. They can't fix worn out hands. I'm grateful that they don't hurt much lately and after a career as a mechanic I still have all my fingers. Might go for a early nap.
 
Morning Martin & All from another very :wind1: day in Southern Utah!

Currently it is 58F, up from 56F and heading for 63F. The winds have been out of the S @ 12 to 35mph. They are expected to continue through out the day! :cautious:

If my foot quits hurting enough, I'll get back out to the AZ05 project. I did get a few things done, but I really want to get some gas in it and let it run for a little while.

Boiled eggs, bacon, toast & OJ for the morning start. Pepsi(s) for later.

Morning all! Late to the party. A beautiful sunny day out there with a bit of scattered and high cloud. 15C right now, the high is predicted to be 19C. Glad I wore the mesh jacket today.

When I got to the office this morning, I went to unlock my givi topcase and the plastic handle around the key end broke. That's the second one and I attribute the issue, at least in part, to a poor key design; the handle is set up such that all the force is applied right where the plastic handle starts to envelope the key. I checked with the local locksmith in a hail mary to see if they could cut me a new one but it looks like I will need to either order some blank keys for them to cut or just get a new lockset with two keys. I'd rather get a different configuration for the key but so far no luck.

Less than a week now until my daughter moves back in with us. We have a separate suite attached to the back of the house so she and her boyfriend will reside there. He's been here already for a couple weeks as his new job started early. It will be nice to have both of them here and a couple extra helping hands won't go amiss either. Lest you think it's just transactional, I am really looking forward to spending more time with them.
