Skip's post got me wondering... Does anyone have a recommendation for boots that have good ventilation? My feet tend to sweat when riding and I would love to find a pair of boots that keep them dry.

My ideal boot would be shin height (more than just a shoe), ventilation is a priority, if there's a flap/cover I can open for airflow and close if its going to rain that would be pretty awesome, size 12 (wide if possible). I honestly don't care that much about the cost (well, within reason like a $2000 set of boots is way too much)

Another vote for merino wool socks.

My wife suffered from hot feet when riding pillion. Found some vented Gore-tex boots that worked well. This was quite some time ago, she no longer rides, and I sold the boots, but I think they were Tourmaster. They don't seem to have them anymore but the TCX airtech Gore-tex looks a lot like them.
They flowed quite a bit of air and the waterproof was a bonus.

My Alpinestar air gor-tex boots I found on clearance at cycle gear several years ago are still holding up.

Still waterproof, and cool(er). Hopeful the soles can last a little bit longer.
