Vredestein Hypertrac All Season Tire

In my state of perplexity, that did not occur to me.

I'll know next time, thanks!

It only cost me a few minutes, but I'll get those minutes back at the next tire swap.

Looks like mine looked, a while ago. It still mostly looks like those.

The tires do stay close to the ground on the centerstand, don't they?

Always reading about the dark side and thinking about trying it , but my fear is how will the bike handle when your pushing it through the twisties ?

If you've seen any of my posts about this tire, i repeatedly state it's fine. Or better.

Initially I was skeptical (afraid, TBH, let's call it what it was), but after years of reading others' experiences, @970mike held an atomic bomb to my head and forced me to try it.

It handles great, every bit as well as my high$$ Michelin and Dunlops, but more stable and more confidence- inspiring. There is no noticeable "transition" when cornering, like i had feared, due to the more rounded profile vs. other car tires.

With something like 12k miles on this tire, i won't go back to expensive bike rubber.

It rides smoother, turns just as quickly, is more stable wet or dry, and is lasting about 6x or longer, likely 8x over my sport touring tires.

All for less than half what my usta- tires (that's "used-to" for you non-Navy people) cost.

Make sure Mike isn't carrying the launch codes when you talk to him.

Well, you given me something to think about, hey on another note is it any good in the snow, lol

I always tell people who ask that to follow me on a twisty road and try to keep up with me.

This tire is the best handling dark side tire that I have tried and it doesn't have the bad tendency on uneven pavement that others do. And some tires are harder to counter steer than others.

I wouldn't know.
Snow is for skiing, not for motorcycling.
And no! I'm not going to screw sheet metal hex screws into the tires and go racing.
Fuggedaboutit.

I use the rear ride-height to adjust for neutral steering effort.

Up makes it lean easier, down makes it stand back up easier.

I adjust for minimal and equal steering-torque requirements.

One of the old men here told me you won’t notice after 30 mins. He was right and he doesn’t ride darkside. Personally I didn’t get the mileage I expected, but it did its job twice(2 tires). If I was going back out for a 12k plus tour I’ll put on a third. It will be this hypertrac. I only noticed it coming to a stop at the pump.
