I just tried the 7.4v battery operated base layer for the first time in a real life test and it was really amazing. I went to a wine tour in the Finger Lakes and decided to use the battery operated heated base layer rather than wear a bulky coat as we were in and out of wineries all day. These things are great! I used it all day as I turned it on and off as needed there was still plenty of battery life left at the end of the day. I never turned it up past half way as it got to warm. I used the larger of the 2 available batteries. It just clipped to my belt. These would be great at a hockey game or late season football game, or any outdoor activity in cool or cold weather.

Hey Steve. What's the difference between the Gen3 and Gen4 men's jacket liner. Is the Gen4 worth the extra $$?

Also, if I trade in an old Gerbing's liner, can I still get your 18% discount? From reading the website, it sounds like you can't, but sometimes reading through the owners "rants" about the competition makes me not want to read much over there. I wish that guy would just tone it down a bit... he's got a big Chinese chip on his shoulder and it doesn't come off as very professional.

The Gen 4 is waterproof so maybe a better choice to wear after the ride as a regular jacket. I don't think they will give you 2 discounts on one purchase. He is a unique guy he's a Viet Nam vet and does suffer from health issues from his time in country. I too wish he would tone it down. But I have no say there!

After looking at the base layer/shirt items I'll need a gym membership to go with the shirt and battery! :rofl1:

Hey all its not too late to get an order in and have it by Xmas remember to use coupon code Steve for your 18% discount.
