Washington Smoke aaahhhh

Shouldn't that be "air you CAN see"?

in those days the air in LA was always visible (its gotten better over the years though) so you were used to air you COULD see, that was the point.

In the late 80s and early 90s LA was part of my sales territory and the thing I hated the most was when I would retire for the night, washing my hands and clearing my nose made me realize how nasty the environment was.......in Los Angeles .
I should have know..... when flying in to LAX and at 1500 feet it was always brown grey haze and the sun got muted......:puk1::shrug2:

Rode Vancouver Island 8/10-8/12, Victoria-Gold River-Port Hardy. Over 30 lightning strikes/spot fires Friday night around Port Hardy. Picked my wife up in Bellingham and rode to Mt. Baker, view was breathtaking (no MT visible). Then rode over N. Cascades Hiway to Winthrop, again breathtaking. Back to Yakima and on to Klickitat. No Mts in view. No Mt. Raineer, No Mt. Adams, No Mt. Hood. I saw blue skies Sat/Sun, now back to solid smoke from up North. LA air quality but better drinking water. Rick from Klick

I hope things clear up for you soon. I think you are getting some of my weather again this year. Sounds like you could use some of all this rain I have been getting.
I hope things improve for all of you guys up your way.

I couldn't agree more, just like us Alberta folks should do the same. I think a Carbon tax sent to BC from Alberta is also in order. Yes, we are taxed out of existence in Canada, but I won't talk about the shameful politics here. I flew above the smoke today, quite bad going through it though. IMG_1351.jpg

We are back to chewing our air again. Lots of local fires and no wind today. Can hardly see the lake from our deck...... So we left town......!!!!!
Almost to Montana and the air is clear and not chewy at all.

Little to no smoke in my neck o' the woods but it's early-morning dark out at 3PM and very orange. When I woke up and looked to (not out of) the window I was a little disoriented regarding the time. I mean it's dark out.

It's awful here in Western Oregon. First pic was last night after work 5:50 pm and the second this morning.
