Good morning, coffee’s ready!
There’s some homemade sourdough bread to go with it, but it needs some jam, honey or a sweet chese, it’s a bit sour…

I’ve taken care of Peter for the previous two days, kindergarten has been closed.
It’s fun and giving, but it requires all my energy.

In three days we’re travelling to Gran Canary together, and will be there for two week, all paid for…lucky me.
Only problem is Mrs Stu’s father, but they have put him on some serious steroids, so he’ll probably be ok. I hope.

Today is restday, until I’ll pick up Peter again this afternoon.

-2˚c/28f, calm, overcast.

Have a good one, be nice, don’t yell!
Stu

Some things are better left alone...
Like me before coffee... :coffee:

G'Day...

-7°/-3°C today, overcast, gray... no precipitation though...
whatever de-icing agent they're using, its hygroscopic, hence all the roads are wet, slimy and slick...
makes you wonder how all the EV drivers with their tires inflated at 50+ psi are feeling... 😈
(the only plausible explanation why they're always in the way on every ramp, turn or roundabout... pfffff... MOOOVE!!!... )

commute uneventful, arrived at the office early... to be ambushed by a yapping coworker... before I had my 2nd coffee... yuck... 😖 ☕

yesterday I came home to the intense sound of a vibrator... I kid you not...
GF on the couch, legs up in the air, humming like an angry insect... 😆
She'd obtained one of those 'massage guns' to service her operated hip, muscles still causing discomfort...
On the max setting the thing sounds like my cordless, industrial pneumatic hammer-drill... 😎
So with drill-stop and the nail-plunger bit inserted the blue Bosch would have worked just as good... ;)

After her "therapy" we finished Landman S2... now we'll have to persevere till fall/winter for S3...
During a scene where Angela called Tommy, I mentioned intend to associate the Final Escape ringtone to ze GF on my phone...
She wasn't amused though... 🤣

Office calm... so I'm in idle and rather drive to the shed and wrench on her NT though...

Have a nice halfway through the week day! 😎

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee start, Stu.

2f and sunny in MA this morning, rising to 27 and becoming cloudy. Wind will be 10-20 mph.

I did the gym thing, and then the range thing, yesterday.
That's it.
Still reading my book, and the TV was on for white-noise.

Today, I may hit the gym, again, or maybe drive to the local ski hill.

Enjoy the day,
Steve

I can serve my own coffee, Stu, it's all good. Roz doesn't drink it, and can't even make it in a drip coffee maker.
Or won't... same difference.
After her "therapy" we finished Landman S2...
And no plans for a Season 3.
Sheridan does make some compelling stories, though. 1883, Sicario, and more.
For 2 days the weather alarmists have been telling us we'll have snow and ice Friday night through Sunday.
I'm like, REALLY?!
On a WEEKEND?!
Life is so unfair. Shutting down the whole dang town absolutely needs to be done on weekdays!
What the heck are they thinking?
Tomorrow is calling for big rain, so I may need to leave the Kaiser at home.
Speaking of the GSD, someone on the Nextdoor app has asked about us and wants a picture.
Our catsitter Amy texted me, she's on the app a lot.
(I hope the lady who posted isn't one of those cars I've passed in the 4-mile no passing zone!)
Why don't y'all have a fine day, if you can.

Exactly!
If I were more sensitive, or if I actually had any feelings, I suppose I could try to be offended.
Even people who have never seen a motorcycle (Amy has) should know the difference between a trailer and a side car!
It's in the name!
A trailer trails behind the vehicle.
A sidecar sits on the side.
But Amy is a sweet lady, and all our animals love her.
She took care of Kaiser when I went to the Left Coast to pick up the GSA at RawHyde.

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the hot java, Stu. We need it this morning.

Why do we need it? Because we've suffered SELF ("Severe Extreme Loss of Fahrenheits") recently. The supply on hand numbers just 17 of the little buggers, although we're due a minor restock later today so we'll have 39 or so on the shelf later on. The sky is bright blue and sunny and will be all day.

Late start in the House of Fun today, caused by Mrs. Fun's request yesterday evening (around 2200 hours) that we travel to someplace where the northern sky might be dark enough for her to make out the northern lights. The trip was duly made but alas, no such phenomenon was visible to the naked eye and not even to her camera's sensors. The outing, although a dud in regard to its specific purpose, led to a pleasant-enough after-hours drive along roads I've generally traveled by bicycle rather than dino-mobile. And we chanced across this, which struck me as amusing:

I've got an appointment with a new-to-me sleep doctor this morning; I've been sleeping very poorly for several months but my my past / current provider just doesn't give me any sense that they really give a darn. The new one comes highly recommended by my primary care doc; she's the sister of, and shares the medical suite with, my dermatologist, who I like very much. Obviously that's no guarantee of satisfaction with her but at least it's something. If our initial session goes well I'll transfer to her.

Today is also the day when my health / fitness / activity tracking ring is scheduled to arrive. My recent diagnosis of an irregular heartbeat has me curious and mildly concerned, so I want to generate some data that I can share with the medics. Friends of mine were early adopters of this particular brand and praise it highly; I trust their judgement implicitly. If it's good enough for them it's good enough for me.

Finally, I'll meet a friend / former client for happy hour this evening. She's made a very clear effort to stay in touch after I retired, which is very gratifying and illuminating as to the regard she holds for me.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

Good morning! Thanks for the coffee and sourdough, Stu, and enjoy your two weeks in Gran Canaria to the max!

We had a gloriously bright sunny day yesterday and the yellow orb is still shining, but the clouds will return and we'll get a few snow flurries later today and overnight. It's getting colder again too: -10°C/14°F with a feels-like of -18°C/0°F now, going to a high of -6°C/21°F with a windchill of -13°C/9°F.

Right, must go take care of some of my procrastinatory procrastinations. Everybody have a good one, stay safe and go safely. Hope all's well with John!

I'd have suggested Canada or Greenland, but the drive is a bit much that late. :)

Morning all! Sun is just peeking over the horizon and it looks, at least for now, like a clear blue sky sunny kind of day. Currently 3C with a predicted high of 8C to come.

I've been taking the car the last couple of days as there's a generous amount of frost on the ground and cars in the morning. It's likely limited mostly to the roads to the highway but I get a bit hinky about an unexpected slide so choosing to be cautious. I don't heal as quickly or as well as in years past....way past....like geologic era past.

I took a peek outside last night looking for the northern lights as well but also came up empty. Friends in Calgary said they could see them however.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Just for you all!

:rofl1: :rofl1: :rofl1:

Morning Stu & All from mostly sunny skies over Southern Utah!

Currently it is 30F, up from 216F, and heading for 51F. No breeze yet, but later the winds will be out of the W @ 5 to 6mph.

Chris called last night, all is well in Quilt Retreat Land. I'm glad she is enjoying herself up there.

I still have a couple of minor things to do on the toilet install, but another trip to Home Depot will be in order. But with a whole 51F slated for the day. I'm very tempted to hook up the electrics and go for a ride. We'll see.

Boiled eggs. bacon, toast & OJ for the morning start. Pepsi(s) will be had later.

Anyone :dr13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:
