Good morning everyone

There's a dark roast by local-to-Rockville Mayorga Coffee Roasters in the pot. Have some and enjoy Rockville's finest. It's good stuff.

It's 70°F and clear in Rockville, 50 minutes before sunrise. Suny with a high of 76 is expected.

I should get out for a bicycle ride today. Will I? Remains to be seen.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

Good morning, all! Thanks for the coffee, Keith! If you do get out for that ride, enjoy!

Well, true to form, August came in like a blast furnace, but some storms then rolled through and cooled things down, thank goodness. We've now been treated to several days of glorious sunshine and a much needed break from the stifling heat and humidity. If the entire summer could be exactly like this, I'd be one happy Canuck. Today we have blue skies again, but peppered with fluffy, white clouds this time. The current temp is 17°C/63°F with no humidity (ahhh, pure bliss), and it will eventually reach a high of 24°C/75°F with a feels-like of 26°C/79°F. Being that it's such a beautiful morning, I suspect my neighbours/friends may want to gather by the duck pond for a coffee break at around 10 or so. Perhaps I'll send out a word to our group chat and see what they're up to.

OK, gotta go do some tings. Everybody have a good one, stay safe and go safely.

Patty

Morning all, and thanks for the coffee Keith.

We're suffering from post WoodSToc withdraw (and lack of sleep) but it'll come to pass. I thought of everyone as we toured the Sperry flour mill, as they also are a distributor for a dozen brands of organic coffees. Also thought of @Whisker Bill when were were at Potato World.

Currently 20, headed to 28. Sun all day they are predicting.

Hope everyone had a great week and has a great Saturday.

Obo.

Thanks Keith.
I woke up out of habit, at 6am, but quickly realized it's Saturday, and easily went back to sleep.
I tell ya, it's a gift.
Today I'll review the Element service manuals, and see if I can determine why the coolant fans aren't coming on.
It's gotta be electrical. Oh, joy.
That,there, is genuine, unadulterated sarcasm.
Oh, joy, indeed.
Till these are fixed, I can't trust it to deliver me to my desired stopping place. Especially with ambient temps around 100°, although I know broken cooling systems can also overheat in winter.
Might do some edging if I don't change my mind.
No promises.
Enjoy your day, this one and those yet to come.

@Sadlsor Run a decent gauge wire from the battery, thru a fuse, to a switch inside that car. Run from the switch back to the fan. You can manually turn the fan on and off as needed.

If you were even more ambitious you could also use a relay, and tap the switch trigger into a ignition controlled power.....

It might not be pretty, but it would prevent overheating.

As for the "real" fixing. Have you checked the thermostat and the temperature switch that activates the fan circuit? Oh, and check the fuses.....

Morning Keith & All from sunny, Southern Utah!

Well, it looks like this round of monsoon weather has passed. We managed to get 1.17" over the last 7 days, so that's good for us. Some areas got too much at one time and have had some really bad flooding. So, between the many fires we've had and now the monsoons, it's been a rough month. Which is typical for this area. By WeSTOC 30, the weather should be perfect! (I hope :pray1: )

Currently it is 70F, heading for 81F. No wind right now, but later the winds will be out of the WSW @ 10 to 12 mph.

I feeling a lot better. By early next week I should be back to my old self. Whatever that is!

Today, I'll just be doing a few things around here. I don't want to stress myself too much yet.

Chris made some breakfast cake to start the morning with. I washed it down with some OJ & Hot Lemon/Honey Tea. I'll have a Pepsi or two later.

Anyone :bl13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:
