Don't want a coffee that notes "hints of cherry and cocoa"...
I want a brew that walks in, kicks the table over and says:
"Get up! We've things to do!"... :coffee:

G'Day...

11°/17°C, gray, rainy... likely lasting way into the night... 🌧️
Yep, the annual "cold snap" (Schafskälte) has arrived... 🥶

in the mountains snowfall limit dropped below 2000m/6600ft... ❄️

home and office caffeination absorbed... ☕

ze GF is bravely weathering it out on her NT...
she has infrastructure at her workplace, like full grown locker rooms she can change in and hang her dripping gear...
me, I got an office...
my "wardrobe" consist of a metal drawer handle bolted to the underside of a shelf board to place a clothes hanger on...

This, and that I don't like to dirty up my freshly cleaned ST... 😁
So yeah, I'm in the trusty Toyota... ;)

hooever, enjoy your midweek Joe... <slurp!> ☕

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the coffee, Martin.

It's 71°F and mostly cloudy in Rockville as the sunrise gets underway. Humid and 86 is the expectation for later, with rain sufficiently likely to discourage me from going for the bicycle ride that I never managed to get to yesterday when I should have.

Yep, I think the rain's a-gonna come.

I better get Mrs. Fun's tomato plant out from under the eaves on the porch and placed where it can get watered.

Why didn't I ride yesterday when the weather was better? I had a major attack of lethargy, that's why. I wanted to wait until Mrs. Fun was safely one her way to PA and by the time that happened my energy level was absolutely nil. It took most of the day to regain even enough ambition to pick up a uke and noodle at it for a while. Does anyone else get those fits of meh?

Since I don't see a ride as likely today, or at least not a long one or one beginning anytime soon, I'll do some laundry (hamper is full to overflowing) and play some uke. We'll have to see about this afternoon and the odds of playing the half round of golf that is on the schedule. My tee time is smack in the middle of the band of afternoon / evening showers that are in the forecast but those often fail to materialize or don't amount to much. Unless they arrive as a deluge, which also happens.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

Morning all, and thanks Martin for the startup

Keith, the meh based lethargic band is normally 8am-5pm for non retired folks, so I'm told.

Sunny and 11C for the ride in to work and 23C for the ride home. I rode about 45 min out of town yesterday to check out a tractor sore that also sells ride on mowers. It was 33C (91F) there. Might be the warmest day we had so far. After looking at a few models, some I can and can't afford, the salesman said we do have a few 2025 and 2024 leftovers which cost up to $800 less than a new 2026. So, if all goes according to plan Sunday with the person flying in from Calgary to by my antique VW, I'll have a new mower next week.

Hope everyone has an excellent day, and doesn't get caught on their wardrobe hang-ups.

Obo.

Good morning and thanks for the coffee, Martin.

It's 58, going to 83, and it's sunny here in MA.

Yesterday, I spent some time at the track, for a lightly attended car event .
When I got home, I used my pseudo-pressure washer nozzle to clean up the green pollen from both porches and deck.

Today I've got an appointment to have my hearing aids looked at by a tech at the VA .
I'm sure that I'll find something else to do, afterward.

Enjoy your day,
Steve

Good morning, all. Thanks for the coffee, Martin. Cherry or vanilla coffee really gets me moving in the morning. Usually having to clean up the mess where I threw the cup.

Summer’s here. 68/92 and includes a free knife to cut the humidity.

Maybe I can get some yard work finished. Absolutely nothing on the calendar for the rest of the month.

John

On my first cup of Black Rifle, so I'll post carefully.
Lessee... dentist at 12:30.
Little chance of rain at the same time, but it's a chance.
Still have the 15ft top of a hickory tree in the back yard, blown out in a storm recently.
Can't get the blowed-up gas tank story out of my mind, or the XR crash that truly blanked a rider's mind.
There is more developing in my mind, but it's not clear enough to share.
The rest of my thoughts have flown, for now, but maybe I can think again later.
After coffee.
